Centre of Excellence : MGM JNEC has • established Centre of Excellence (COE) which is first advance industrial automation and Robotics lab in Marathwada region. The college has purchased Advanced Industrial Automation Equipments i.e. PLC, Mechatronics Kit for factory Automation, CNC trainer rack, Pneumatics and Hydraulics kits, Tata TAL BRABO Robot, Yaskawa Robot. Students will be trained on different Industrial kits and they will implement different Industrial applications. This will be helpful for all the engineering students to become Industry ready. Mr.V.J.Lipne and V.V.Ukarande attended training • on PLC, Industry 4.0 Pneumatics and Hydraulics by Chritiani Sharpline at Rhine, Germany from 10 June to 27 June 2019.Students Internship: The students of third year • have completed internship in Nankhariya energy. It is a solar based company which basically installs solar panels at different sites. It was an opportunity for students to learn about solar panel, its internal structure, ratings, different way of wiring and installation of different elements of system. Alumni Ineraction: Meher Shaikh interaction • with TE ECT students on the topic of "Inter based planning for Multi objective Navigation in Dynamic Environments."Tree Plantation at Nagurdi: A tree plantation • programme was organized by MGM, Aurangabad at Nirgundi Village on 18th and 21st July 2019. More than 1000 trees are planted by ECT students and faculty. Trees are the foremost source for producing the oxygen in environment, they helps to reduce the level of CO2. As the whole world is facing the problem of global warming and to recover from such problem planting trees has become one of the most important aspects today.All feel happy & proud with tree plantation event, as they were doing their bit for greener India.

Faculty exchange program at Germany from 8th 1. to 26th July 2019: A team of six faculty members, Dr. M. S. Kadam, Dr. V. S. Joshi, Mr. P. G. Dhoble, Mr. K. R. Jagtap from Mechanical Department and Mr. V. V. Ukarande, Mr. V. J. Lipne from Electronics department went to Germany for the period of 15th days in the month of July for attending training for Centre of Excellence on AR VR: Augmented Reality & Virtual Reality, Advanced Hydraulics, SINUTRAIN- CNC Simulation Software, Pneumatics, Industry 4.0 and UBI Factory (Factory Automation).Our faculty Dr. A. L. Chel & Mr. O. M. Raut 2. attended an AICTE sponsored Short Term

Training Program (STTP) on "Empowering Innovation with 3D Printing" from 1st to 7th August at Government Polytechnic, Nagpur. At the end of training Dr. A. L. Chel won first prize based on his performance on test conducted. Dr. A. L. Chel was invited to deliver a lecture 3. talk on Advanced Thermodynamics and Heat Transfer at Indore college of Engineering on 8th August 2019.Our faculty Mr. S. L. Thengade along with 4. student Vikas Kendre attended a seminar on ‘Idea validation and business opportunity identification and development also presented a project on ‘Home automation with safety features’. A Guest Lecture was conducted on “ Industrial Automation PLC & SCADA” by Mr. Prabhakar Gawali, Regional Branch Manager of Prolific Solutions Pvt. Ltd. Pune, the major focus was to introduce the importance of PLC and SCADA in industry. Automation is the delegation of human control function to machine control for increasing the productivity and quality. Further in the lecture sir introduced various PLC and the tools for writing their logic, importance and application SCADA , Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition system was also explained along with elaborative examples.

The program is conducted under the scheme of Pandit Mandan Mohan Malviya National Mission on Teacher and Training and the objective of the program is developing moral leadership among teachers so that the students can learn from them. The program was based on the theme ASHA , i.e. Abilities, Skills and Healthy Attitude.

Rahinj,Sidhannt Halge & Rajendra Bhagwat have visited “Gadge Maharaj Adivasi Boy’s Ashram” on 24 July 2019 for charity to tribal area’s people. Students served food to them, communicated, played some activities over there.

NSS Camp was held 25th July to 04th Aug. 2019 1. at Mealghat Dist. Amravati. The main objective of this camp was interaction with society to create social awareness.Faculty Development program on “Professional 2. Skill and Moral leadership” was conducted at Baha’i Academy Panchgani, Dist. Satara for 10 days from 30th June 2019 to 09th July 2019. The objective of this program was to encourage the participants to become dynamic, enthusiastic,

capable individuals and a self motivated leaders of their social life by enhancing their abilities, skills & healthy attitudes.The lecture talk on “Jal Shakti Abhiyan “ by 3. Er.Arun Ghate was organized on 22nd July 2019 to create awareness of water conservation and interlinking of rivers.The lecture talk on “Demonstration of Advanced 4. Civil Engineering Equipments” was arranged by Mr. Sachin Sonawane, Hilti (India) Pvt. Ltd. to provide knowledge about the use of advance equipments on site.

“ECO BATALION MISSION” A STEP TOWARDS REFORESTATION

A massive tree plantation initiative “ECO BATALIAN MISSION" was carried out by Mahatma Gandhi Mission, Aurangabad in coordination with Forest department, GOI and Indian military for a period of 45 days at Nirgudi Village. With the onset of monsoon, students and faculty members of Computer Science and Engineering actively participated in the tree plantation at village Nirgudi near Mahismal. To propagate the scheme to prevent environment and increase green cover, students and faculty members of CSE department planted more than 500 saplings with a great enthusiasm. Mr.Ankushrao Kadam, Secretary MGM Trust and Dr. Vijaya Musande Vice principal and Head-CSE, were also present at the occasion. She addressed students and sensitized about the importance of tree plantation.

PARENT TEACHER MEETThe department has organized a Parents-teachers meeting on Saturday, 27th July, 2019. The main objective of the meet was to create a common platform, where teacher and parents come together to enrich the student’s educational experiences and discuss variety of issues, regarding all round development of students. Also commence an interaction with the Class In-charge and faculties/subject in-charges of the departments. More than 60 parents attended the meet. Dr. Vijaya Musande, (Head, CSE) welcomed the parents and highlighted the important aspects of department through presentation. The presentation highlighted different co-curricular and extracurricular activities carried throughout the year including placement status of the current batch.

Mr. Ashish Sonawane, delivered a lecture on Cyber Laws on 30th July 2019 for third year students.Mr. Abhishek Bagade (Alumni-CSE 2015 batch) delivered a lecture on “Higher education- GATE” to make students aware about about Career opportunities through GATE and how to start preparartion, tips and tricks to crack the examinations."

Chemical Engineering

Second year chemical engineering students visited the industry “Probus International LLP” in Paithan, Aurangabad on 2nd August 2019. This company is owned by alumnus of Chemical Engineering Department, Mr Vasant Hingnikar. During the visit students observed and understood the advanced separation process to extract essential oils from medicinal plants, seeds and other biomass. Mr Hinginikar keenly explained the process (operated at very high pressure) to all students. Students were very excited to see actual chemical process plant for the first time. Mr. M.U. Pople and Ms.M.R. Gaonkar accompanied the students for this day visit. Ms. M.R. Gaonkar took efforts to arrange the visit.
