Executive Overview

The Market Information Displays (MIDs) system will be a Web-based application used to

display daily arrivals and prices of agricultural commodities of various markets on Projection

TV System.

The present marketing system, Small and marginal farmers often lack proper market access

to get a fair price for their produce because of their small marketable surplus and limited

bargaining power. In addition, restriction on sale of produce outside regulated market yards

limits market access further. To know the exact price of the commodity and arrival no

system is available in APMCs.

MSAMB has initiated a scheme of installation of Market Information Display (Projection TV

System) for displaying market information at market yards. The idea is to display daily

arrivals and prices of agricultural commodities at various markets for the use of farmers.

Presently 69 APMCs have implemented this system. Market Information Displays (Projection

TV Systems) are installed at Market Yards in such a way that viewers can easily see the

information. This system consist of one computer, UPS, Internet, Projection TV of 44" or 54"

size, device connecting TV and computer and software for displaying price information in Marathi language.

Customized software provides an option of displaying either APMC wise or commodity wise arrival and price information in Marathi language on the Projection TV.

Based on the income of APMCs, MSAMB is provides subsidy of 33% or 50% to implementing APMCs.

Besides price data, the system is used to display information related to agriculture, viz. pre

& post harvest technology, good agricultural practices, grading, packing. It also displays

information about new seeds, pesticides, fertilizers, various deceases & remedies as well as information about various schemes and projects of the state and central government.

1 MARKET INFORMATION DISPLAY (DESK TOP APPLICATION)

All APMCs have to upload the data manually. The consolidation of the data is through the separate software. The

consolidated file has to put on MSAMB website for download. The APMCs has to download the ‘file’ and Keep it on

respective desktop of which finally displayed on the projection TV system.

1.0 Home Page

Purpose: The Home page serves several purposes.

It is a welcoming point to MID for new members as well as existing applicants.

It allows new applicants to SignIn or to Exit.

Navigation: Run Application

1.1 LOGIN CREDENTIALS

Purpose: The login page serves several purposes.

It is a welcoming point to MID for new members as well as existing applicants.

It allows new applicants to register for a MID logon ID and password.

Facilitates a login point for those who already have a MID ID and password

Navigation: Run Set up > Sign In > Login Name

Submit When clicked Verifies the data entered matches with the registered users.

Clear When clicked clear the added data and pointer move on sign in

PASSWORD Purpose: The paasword page used to prevent unauthorized access to a certain resource.

Navigation: Open Application > Sign In > Login Name > Password

Change Password When clicked change password window will open for modification

Back When clicked it switch back Login Page.

Password Text Box - Password

Enter unique password assign to MID Login name.

Change Password Purpose: Authorized user can create and authorize to change the previous password.

Navigation: Open Application > Sign In > Login Name > Password > Change Password button

Exit When clicked exit Change Password web page dialog box.

1.2 MASTER

1.2.1. USER MASTER

The User Master enables the administrator or authorized user to create MID application users.

Purpose: Authorized user can create and authorize/pass the user entry records. The administrator/authorized

APMC official can add, modify and authorize/pass the user level record.

Navigation: Master > User Master

1.2.2. SET MOVIE PATH

Purpose: Authorized user can upload the movie from the local computer.

Navigation: Master > Set Movie Path

Button Explanation


Save When clicked sets the movie path.

Exit When clicked exit quits the Path Master Web page dialog box.

Browse When clicked browse the movie file in the computer.

Purpose: Authorized user can upload the message on the display screen

Navigation: Master > Message Master

Button Explanation


Save When clicked save that Message entered for display screen.

Modify When Clicked it will display the messages list added at the given dates.

Clear When clicked clear the added details from the fields

Exit When clicked it will quit Message Master web page dialog box.

Purpose: Authorized user can download the data with the specific date

1.3 DISPLAY SCREEN

Facility of displaying audio-visual documentary or news / message through the software from the computer

connected to TVs. The price information shall be displayed in the form of scroll/footage while displaying audio-

visual documentary. Otherwise, the price information display should be normal. The user should be able to

compose / add / edit / delete messages through the software to display in the form of scroll / footage while

displaying price information or documentary.

1.3.1 APMC/Commodity ( Movie )

Purpose: This display screen gives facility to display information about commodity rates , documentory film,

message or online date , Other –English – Both Language as per requiremnet.

Navigation: Display Screen > APMC/Commodity ( Movie )

Display When clicked Display, screen displays information as per the selected option

Settings When clicked, it will display page settings option to set accordingly

List When Clicked , it will display the list of APMC and Commodities to select accordingly

Exit When clicked exit it quits APMC/Commodity ( Movie ) screen.

Purpose: The Sign Out serves only one purposes.

It allows logged in user to Sign Out.

Also it recheck with proper dialog box if user is sure to sign out.
