IMPROVING GRID POWER QUALITY WITH FACTS DEVICES ON INTEGRATION OF WIND ENERGY SYSTEM The electrical energy generated from Wind Turbine experiences power quality problems when connected to power grid. These harmonics can be reduced by using a power electronic component called STATCOM (STATIC COMPENSATOR). STATCOM is activated by using circuit breakers. A PI-controller is used to control STATCOM which eliminates steady state error. This process is implemented in MatLab & Simulink to monitor the sinusoidal response in grid power. AUTOMATED SYSTEM FOR FAULT ANALYSIS IN INDUSTRIES USING GSM Analysis is done by monitoring the faults using GSM. Power supply is connected to step-down transformer which reduces 230V to 12V and is connected to rectifier that converts ac to dc. Capacitors are connected to reduce harmonics in rectification process. A Max-232 is associated with microcontroller, which is interfaced with ADC (Analog and digital controller) and LCD (Liquid crystal display). Max-232 helps in connecting GSM modem through RS-232. Current transformer is connected to two different loads. A buzzer is provided to intimate the fault to nearby technicians. When fault occurs, the buzzer is activated automatically and starts sending message, in order to avoid short circuit, a relay is connected to trip to circuit.

AUTOMATED SYSTEM FOR FAULT ANALYSIS IN INDUSTRIES USING GSMAnalysis is done by monitoring the faults using GSM.
