    The minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved.

    A communication was received from the City Clerk forwarding a copy of a reso·

    lution of the Board of Aldermen authorizing the purchase of coal without public let·

    ting for use on the parks not to exceed $ro,ooo in cost, viz.: 500 tons in boroughs of

    Manhattan and Richmond, 250 tons in boroughs of Brooklyn and Queens, 250 tons in

    Borough of The Bronx.

    Commissioner Willcox offered the following:

    Resolved, That, pursuant to the terms of the contract with Brown & Fleming,

    dated August 26, 1902, for bridle road gravel and limestone screenings for parks in

    the Borough of Manhattan. the quantity of screenings called for thereunder be in-

    and, when so approved, that a contract for the same be entered into arid executed by

    the President for and on behalf of this Board.
