SETTINGThere are many settings in this film but one of the settings in this film is in the area as the film is about basketball. There is many animated settings that are also included in this film. All the settings in the film are beneficial as it tells the story to the audience. Setting is important because it manipulates the audience by building a certain expectation.

PROPS

Some of the props used would be things that make the picture for example having a basketball shows the film will include an element of basketball in it. Having cartoon characters will symbolise that this movie will be funny and for children of all ages. People will of had to do the voice over for each cartoon character involved completely from scratch.

COSTUME HAIR AND MAKE-UPThe costume and make-up in this scene shows that there is a basketball game about to take place or has taken place as Michael Jordan is sweating and also you can tell it is a basketball game because of the uniform they are wearing which symbolises basketball.

FACIAL EXPRESSIONS AND BODY LANGUAGEFacial expressions are important as they create a image for the audience of how that character is feeling. In this picture the body language and facial expression of Michael Jordan that he is dazed and confused as to something he has just witnessed. Body language is also an indicator of how an audience view a characters feeling. However different people of the audience can view his body language and facial expressions differently. In picture two Michael Jordan looks more serious like he does not to be messed around, he is in the zone.Picture

POSITIONING AND SPACEBoth of these are in the same section of the film/ trailer however the characters are positioned on either side of the frame and there is a degree of space between them which connotes that they are not friendly. In picture 2 however Michael Jordan is central compared to the other cartoon characters around which connotes that he is the main focus which will make the audience will look straight at him as your eyes are drawn to him.Picture

VISUAL EFFECTS

Animations is a key element in the film as the most of the characters are cartoons. There is a lot of computer generated imagery used in Space Jam as the cartoons involved.
