    MISSION TO MARS

    Is it possible for humans to survive on Mars? With concerns over globa warming and over population on the rise, NASA and other scientists fromaround the world have begun to explore this question with increased vigorHowever, relocating to Mars is not a simple task and a great deal of informationmust be gathered before we can even consider it as a possibility. During thenext three weeks, you are going to help mankind take a giant step in thisinformation gathering process by construction a rover that has a wide array ofremote sensing capabilities and sending it to the red planet to collect data.

    0.To look at your data, click on the that is to the left of your programming pallet.

    1.Once you are in the new screen, place your rover in front of the IR tower and press the to upload youdata. Your data should look something like this.

    2.Now it is time for some algebra. If you remember, 1 rotation = 16. What equation do we have to use to makrotation = 1?

    3. After you figure this out, select the icon. The screen that opens will have a calculator at the bottomhat looks like this. Enter your equation into this calculator and watch to see how the graph at the top of th

    creen changes.
