F Y P ’ H … I ’ H T !
We’ve had a powerful me this summer going through the Freeway series! So many lives have been impacted! I have go en reports of emo onal, rela onal, physical, and spiritual healing! There have been many salva ons and others are taking the next steps to deal with deep core wounds so they can know the freedom and fullness Jesus wants for them.
This past week our theme was “We are Rescued to Rescue others!” This is where we begin really to see the beauty in our brokenness and the purpose in our pain. God redeems us for His mission of saving, delivering, healing and restoring the world! This week, our message is “Harvest Time!” This is what the Lord has been communica ng to me the past several weeks, and I want to share this with you and to teach what I’ve been learning from Reinhard Bonnke. This is exci ng! Don’t miss it!
Next week, August 30th, we celebrate the 30th Anniversary of Heritage Church and the 175 years of our heritage in bringing the Gospel to this River Valley! Rev. David Scroggins, one of our former pastors known for his fiery sermons and evangelis c altar calls, will return “with the fullness of the blessings of the Gospel of Messiah” (Romans 15:29) to bring the morning messages. Then, from 5‐8 p.m. we will have a marvelous me Celebra ng Our Heritage! This is for the whole family! Invite past members and prospec ve members. We’ll all gather in the sanctuary at 5 p.m. for an old‐ me gospel celebra on, then we’ll head out to eat and play from there! The redneck waterslide will be back in business and the log roll too! We’ll have a dunking booth, indoor square dancing, a pie ea ng contest, homemade ice cream (Would you bring some ice cream? Let Pam James know! [email protected], or 474‐6424), and much more!
Come celebrate good mes with us! We will praise the LORD for what He has done through people in the past and praise and thank Him in advance for the amazing things He is about to do in and through us ‐‐ HIS HERITAGE!
Praising God every day for calling me to be your lead pastor! We’ve only just begun! It’s Harvest Time!
Pastor Wes and Allison

WAY TO GO!!
Congratulations to the following Children’s Church kids! They learned the Lord’s Prayer and were able to recite it to Ms. Debbie. Good job!
Good times at Family Fun Night at the Alma Water Park!
The youth had a great time at the lake!
THANK YOU
Once again, we had a successful backpack program. We were able to provide 116 backpacks this year. It was a wonderful sight to see all the smiling faces of kiddos when they got a new haircut and received their backpacks. One little girl was so excited she wanted to dump it out in the hallway floor to see what she got. It’s precious to see how happy they are. A HUGE thank you to all the volunteers that came to help and the beauticians that took time out of their busy schedules to give free haircuts. Thank you to Debbie Marsh and the F.I.S.H. kids that served yummy snow cones. They were greatly enjoyed! Again, THANK YOU to everyone that donated, sponsored or volunteered. We couldn’t do it without you!!
