Our recent celebra�on of Advent, preeminently a season of hope, filled me with hope for our future. I am most grateful for t����������������
planning efforts these last few years for our Catholic schools and the new Catholic Founda�on of Southeastern Massachuse#s.��������������

Last spring I conducted Listening Sessions throughout the Diocese that were a#ended by over 1,500 lay people and priests. Ma������������
����� �%����������������������������������������������������� �%���������&����������������������������'������������������������
parishes with be#er administra�ve assistance, innova�ve programming, effec�ve communica�ons, and inspira�onal leaders. (�����������
�����'�������������)������������������'������������'��� �

To accomplish this, I am invi�ng lay and clergy leaders from across the en�re Diocese to come together to imagine and devel������*�����
Chancery services and ministries that can be#er support our parishes.��
%����������������������'�������������������������and that is why I am wri�ng to you. I need your counsel and advice �������me and talent
��and I would like to personally extend an invita�on to you to serve as a member of one of the following Diocesan planning com�������������
��������������� ���������
��� ��������������� ��������������������������������+�����������������$�������� �,������������'���&����������������'����������������
and create an opera�onal plan for CSS that includes ways to partner with our parishes and schools. We can be#er serve the p������
���������&���������������������*����������������������������������������� �
��� �����������������������������will develop inspira�onal programming and recruit new leadership for the forma�on and
evangeliza�on of our “Genera�on Y” Millennials (born between 1980$-../��������/$38) and our “Genera�on Z” (born between 1995$�"-���

��� ������������������� ������������������will evaluate the current opera�ons and effec�veness of our chancery offices and
ministries, and determine new ways to be#er serve our parishes. This Commission will have subcommi#ees to address the follo������
ο Communica)ons���to bring the Diocese into the 21st century and design systems for be#er database management, marke�ng,
adver�sing, email, and social media.�
ο �����������������to be#er support our parishes in their need to recruit, hire, train, and retain a commi#ed and skilled workforce�
ο ����������to develop be#er methods and the proper administra�ve services to support our parishes with be#er accoun�ng and financial�

ο ������������������������to provide be#er assessment services and resources to help parishes manage their physical proper�es now,

These commissions will meet once a month for five or six months beginning in February. If you want to par�cipate on one of t�����
commissions, you will be expected to make the mee�ngs a priority and a#end them! (Some commissions, depending on the desire������
par�cipants, may hold addi�onal op�onal mee�ngs.) They will be professionally facilitated, and support materials will be ���������������������
all par�cipants.�
