Updating Product Standard Cost To open the Product Manager, select Product Module and select Product Manager Option.

1. Update the Standard Cost a.) To update a Product Standard cost on the Product Manager, select and right-click the Product and select

Edit Product from the drop-down menu.

b.) c.) This will open Edit Product Form, select Stock Details tab and select Prices tab on the right-side of the

form.

d.) There is 2 ways to update the Standard Cost:

Directly entering the Value i. Select the Standard Cost field and enter the required value.

By Standard Cost Breakdown i. Fill in the required fields for the Standard cost Breakdown:

Standard Cost Breakdown:

Update from Design Stored Cost – This will allow updating the Standard Cost Details from a Design when updating the Stored Costing.

Base Cost – Enter the base costing of the Product.

Freight – Enter percentage cost of transportation of the item.

Duty – Enter percentage cost of working on the item.

Other – Enter other costs paid for the item.

Additional Cost 1/2/3/4 – Enter any additional costs for the selected fields.

Mark Down – Enter the amount the cost has been reduced by, if required. Is Percentage – This will set the Mark Down value entered to be a Percentage.

Total – Changes made on the Standard Cost Breakdown will update the Standard Cost Total.

ii. After clicking away from the Standard cost Breakdown fields, this will open a confirmation form

saying that the Standard Cost breakdown total is different from the Standard cost. Select Yes to update the Standard Cost.

iii. A pop-up message will appear confirming the Standard cost being updated with a Standard Cost Breakdown Total Value, select OK.

iv. The Standard Cost will now have the value updated.

2. Exporting Standard Costs (Note: This will export all Products displayed on the Product Manager grid.) a.) To export Standard Costs on the Product Manager, select Product Manager on the taskbar and select

Export/Import > Export Stock Item Prices from the drop-down menu.

b.) This will open a confirmation form, select Yes to export all products displayed on the Product Manger

grid.

c.) This will open Export Manufactured Stock Items Prices Form, select a location to save the CSV file and

enter a file name. Once complete select Save.

3. Importing Standard Costs a.) To Import Standard Costs on the Product Manager, select Product Manager on the taskbar and select

Export/Import > Import Stock Item Prices from the drop-down menu.

b.) This will open Import Stock Item Prices Form, select Browse.

c.) This will open a windows browser, find and select the file required and select Open.

d.) Select CSV File contain Column Headers if the files has Headers for all the columns. (Note: Exported CSV files from V12 will contain Column Headers.)

e.) Ensure the column headers are selected correctly from the drop-down menu.

f.) To update the Standard Cost Breakdown from the CSV file select the Update Standard Cost Breakdown tick-box. Then ensure that the column headers are selected correctly for the Standard Cost Breakdown drop-down menus.

g.) To update the Standard Cost by the Standard Cost Breakdown, select Update Standard Cost using Breakdown tick-box.

h.) Once complete, select Import.

i.) This will open a confirmation form, select Yes to overwrite the existing prices for the Products being imported.

j.) A pop-up message will appear confirming the import being successful, select OK.
