Sport News
CongratulationsCONGRATULATIONS to Matty M!!!!Matty played as a part of the Sydney North Football team this week at the State carnival.
Sydney North played 6 pool games (5 wins, 1 loss) and finished first in their pool. They beat CIS 3-1 in the semis (Matty scored a cracker) and played a much bigger and faster West Team in the final. North were down 2-0 after 8 minutes, and looked gone, but amazingly came back to lead 3-2 with 5 mins to go, only to concede a late unlucky goal hit from well outside the box. So, 3-3 and joint winners. WOW!!!!! Fantastic news Matty. So proud.
Matty has just signed with the Western Sydney Wanderers NPL Boys U13s!! This is an amazing achievement Matty.
We are so proud of you. Looking forward to watching you in the future.
CONGRATULATIONS to Pavle P who played as a part of the Sydney North Tennis Team at the State titles. Pavle won every one of his matches and showed amazing sportsmanship that was mentioned in a letter to Mr Jones by his coaches. His team was placed 2nd in the tournament. The letter that was sent to Mr Jones mentioned Pavle’s athleticism as well as his exemplary on and off court behaviour.
This is something to be extremely proud of Pavle. We are so proud of you. Looking forward to watching you become the next generation of Australian tennis stars.

Dedicated Teachers at Mona Vale Public School!Recently, our library has been alive with thinking at the weekend! Over two eight-hour days on Saturday 21st May and Saturday 4th June, twenty-four teachers from Kindergarten to Year 6 and our Support Unit gave up their precious R and R time to complete a mini-COGE (qualification in gifted education and differentiation of the curriculum)!
As well as creating a unit of work which differentiates for all ability levels in our classrooms using Higher Order Thinking Skills models, we enjoyed learning about identification and development strategies for gifted students in all Key Learning Areas from Science to Literacy to PDHPE!

We are giving these away for free. Both pants will be in a box in the uniform shop if you would like to take a look until the end of this term.
Volunteers are always needed so if you can spare a couple of hours once or twice a month, please email me your contact details to the email address below.
