is an association of persons with mental health problems, their family members and careers, psychiatric staff, and donors of the organization;
the first mental patients’ organization in Lithuania;
was founded on March, 1993;
member of international organizations: Hamlet Trust, ENUSP, GAMIAN-Europe, European Patients Forum.
advocacy and protection of rights of people with mental problems;
health promotion and social rehabilitation of people with mental
disorders;
combating stigma &discrimination and promoting equal opportunities
of mentally ill;
organizing educational activities and discussions for mental patients
and general public;
informing the society about the problems of mental patients;
improving the image of people with mental disorders in society;
providing a stimulating learning and experiential environment in
therapeutic community;
urging and encouraging mental users to creative self-expression.

The term “recovery” in mental health/illness is becoming equated (in the UK and possibly other countries) with loss of services, loss of benefits, and a push towards returning to work, without the support, retraining and flexibility this would require.
