Sincerely,
Bill Leahy Tony Resch Megan FortunatoCamp Directors
About the CampLa Salle Lacrosse Camp is both educational and fun! During the early daysin the week campers receive personal instruction from their “stickwork” groupcoaches so as to improve the campers’ personal game. Later in the week thecamp focus shifts toward team skills as players are placed on a team whichwill compete, by league, in the “Camp Tournament.” Each day after lunch aguest speaker or big-screen video will address the campers. We will alsohave numerous visits by our sponsors, and as always, end our day with thenow famous La Salle camp raffle. We are very proud of our creative coachingactivities and honored to teach more than the game of lacrosse. We alsofocus on the game’s Native American history, which speaks of sincere leadership, basic values, and respect. We work with campersindividually and in small groups according to their age, size, and ability; therefore, no experience is necessary and beginners are mostwelcome.
EquipmentEach camper must provide lunch (for day camp) and all of his/her own equip-ment including stick, lacrosse helmet, cleats, arm and shoulder pads, glovesand waterbottles. Mouthguards are mandatory! (Girls only need stick, eyegoggles, and mouthguard).
Health CareRoutine health care is provided by oursports medicine staff of certified athletictrainers. However, staff trainers do notdispense aspirin or similar medication.
Staff trainers and camp directors willimmediately call parents or identifiedcontact if there is an emergency or med-ical concern. Serious emergencies willresult in immediate 911 contact.
