our Teaching Method-ology which is based on Experiential Learn-ing. By being aware of multiple intelligences, the teachers would be able to gain valuable insights into the per-sonality traits of a child on the basis of which the true potential of a child can be realized.

This workshop is an-other milestone in Ami-ty Global School,

Amity Global School, Noida-44, had the privilege of hosting Ms. Aarti Chopra, the Principal of Amity Inter-national School, Gurgaon for conducting a workshop on Multiple Intelligences for our faculty. The theory of Multiple Intel-ligences by Howard Gard-ner has been a source of inspiration to many teachers, school adminis-trators and educationists the world over. Is the page current? This is both an indicator of the timeliness of the information and whether or not the page is actively maintained. Is the information provided cur-rent? When was the page created? Are dates included for the last update or modification of the page? Are the links current and func-tional? Does the page function well? The ease of use of a site and its ability to help you locate infor-mation you are looking for are examples of the site's function-ality. Is the site easy to navigate? Are options to return to the home page, tops of pages, etc., provided? Is the site searchable? Does the site include a site map or index?

The questions below will help you in evaluate web pages for use as academic sources. Be sure and look at the criteria in multiple cat-egories prior to making a decision regarding the academic quality of a source. How did you find the page? How you located the site can give you a start on your evaluation of the site's validity as an academic resource. Was it found via a search con-ducted through a search engine? Unlike library databases, the ac-curacy and/or quality of infor-mation located via a search en-gine will vary greatly. Look care-fully! Was it recommended by a faculty member or another reliable source? Generally, an indicator of reliability. Was it cited in a scholarly or cred-ible source? Generally, an indica-tor of reliability. Was it a link from a reputable site? Generally, an indicator of reliability. What is the site's domain? Think of this as "decoding" the URL, or Internet address. The origination of the site can provide indications of the site's mission or purpose. The most common do-mains are: org :An advocacy web site, such as a not-for-profit organization. .com : A business or commercial site. .net:A site from a network or-ganization or an Internet service provider.; .edu :A site affiliated with a high-er education institution. .gov: A federal government site. .il.us :A state government site, this may also include public

schools and community colleges. .uk (United Kingdom) : A site origi-nating in another country (as indicat-ed by the 2 letter code). ~:The tilde usually indicates a per-sonal page. What is the authority of the page? Look for information on the author of the site. On the Internet anyone can pose as an authority. Is the author's name visible? Does the author have an affiliation with an organization or institution? Does the author list his or her cre-dentials? Are they relevant to the information presented? Is there a mailing address or tele-phone number included, as well as an e-mail address? Is the information accurate and objective? There are no standards or controls on the accuracy of information avail-able via the Internet. The Internet can be used by anyone as a sounding board for their thoughts and opinions. How accurate is the information pre-sented? Are sources of factual infor-mation or statistics cited? Is there a bibliography included? Compare the page to related sources, electronic or print, for assis-tance in determining accuracy. Does the page exhibit a particular point of view or bias? Is the site objective? Is there a rea-son the site is presenting a particular point of view on a topic? Does the page contain advertising? This may impact the content of the information included. Look carefully to see if there is a relationship be-tween the advertising and the con-tent, or whether the advertising is simply providing financial support for the page.

While literacy - the abil-ity to read and write - is a fundamental part of the education system, Financial Literacy is often left out of the equation. Teaching the same through vari-ous kinesthetically driven activities like role plays, simulations, presentations, field visits to 5-8 grade kids will allow them to un-derstand and discuss money and financial

issues, plan for the future, and respond competently to life events that affect every day’s financial deci-sions. The topic cover-ing “Currency- Domes-tic and Global” was attempted with the kids by preparing and demonstrating a chart as a visual of the cur-rency, presentation by kids on the same, dis-cussion on the paper currency keeping the

real currency as a visu-al in front of the stu-dents to cover up-on multiple intelligenc-es of the kids.

Looking at the tree, I wish I were free. Looking at the sky, I wish I could fly like a butterfly. Freedom is like a wave, for the brave. We should not be lost, when it comes with its’ cost. We must be as bright as a light, as free as a kite and remove eve-ryone’s plights. There lie the beau-ties of Freedom’s fights.

Freedom Periodic table - now complete

For now, they're known by working names, like ununseptium and unun-trium — two of the four new chemi-cal elements whose discovery has been officially verified. With the discoveries now confirmed, "The 7th period of the periodic table of elements is complete," according to the IUPAC (International Union of Pure and Applied Chemistry) . The additions come nearly five years after elements 114 (flerovium, or Fl) and element 116 (livermorium or Lv) were added to the table.

The elements were discovered in recent years by research-ers in Japan, Russia and the United States. Element 113 was discovered by a group at the Riken Institute, which calls it "the first element on the periodic table

found in Asia." Three other elements were discov-ered by a collaborative effort among the Joint Institute for Nuclear Re-search in Dubna, Russia, the Law-rence Livermore National Laboratory in California.

Students indulged in a Color Splash’ activity which brought out the Holi festivity in school

Seeing the little ones enjoying themselves even the onlookers were tempted to dabble in

colours. This activity was not only for fun but had a purpose behind it which was to encour-

age them to show their creativity in an uncontrolled manner so as to bring out the artist in

them.

To meet this goal they were given various materials like bubble wrapper, brushes, leaves,

threads, different kinds of cloth material, sponge, paper

designs, different shapes etc. which they dipped in colors

and put them on the long rolls of paper provided. Kudos

to the organizers of this activity as it not only was

enjoyed by the little ones from Ls1, Ls2 & Ls3 but almost

the entire staff stood and admired the young ones in
