MacOSXversionofMurasuAnjal10needstobeinstalledoneverycomputerthatrequiresTamilLanguageTextInputSystem.

ThisguidehelpsadministratorstodownloadtheinstallMurasuAnjal10onMacintoshcomputersinMOEenvironments.

Pre‐requisitesBefore installingAnjal into your computer, please ensure that you have the followingminimumrequirements:

1. AMacintoshcomputerrunningMacOSX10.5(Leopard)orlater.a. Mac machines with Intel architecture may run 10.5 or 10.6 (Snow

Leopard)b. MacmachineswiththeolderPowerPCarchitecturewillrun10.5bynot

10.6orlater.

2. AnactiveInternetConnectiona. Internet connection is required at the time of installation. This is to

verifyyourAnjal10serialnumber.

InstallingMurasuAnjal(MOE‐Singapore)Start the Murasu Anjal (MOE‐Singapore) installer either by double clicking thedownloaded"ileorfromtheappropriatelinkontheCD‐ROMmainscreen.

YouwillnowbeabletoseethemountedfolderinFinderasshownbelow:

Thereareonly two icons. Doubleclicking thebookwillopen thismanual inPreview.DoubleclickingontheAnjaliconwillstarttheinstaller:

Enterthenameofthesite(typically,nameoftheschool)inthe'irstline(Name&ield).

Entertheschool’semailaddressinthesecondline.

Inthethirdline,enterMurasuAnjal10(MOESingapore)productserialnumber. Notethat each site is assigned a unique serial number. This numbermushmatch the sitenameyouenteredintheName/ield.

Click ‘Continue’. Youwill be prompted for theAdministrator password. Enter that tocompletetheinstallation.

Once the installation is complete, the installer will prompt you to initiate a logout.Answeryestologoutofthesystemandloginbackagain.

All therequiredapplication1ilesarenowinstalled inyoursystem. Thenextstep istoenabletheInputMethodandKeyboardViewer. IfyouarerunningSnowLeopard,youmayneedtoenabletheLookupWordfeatureaswell.
