Club Jaeb transforms the Straz Center’s Jaeb Theater into an intimate music space featuring folk, Americana, alternative, country and other “hand-picked music that matters.” Whitehorse’s story has been told as two acclaimed musicians joining forces under one new name – no drummer, no keyboard player, violinist or even bass player on call, and no producer. Just Luke Doucet and Melissa McClelland. Their first album and EP demonstrate the success of this simple equation, one plus one, with an abundance of guitar slinging, songwriting expertise and white-hot desire. Doucet and McClelland present a full band sound using live loops, bits and pieces of percussion, and swapping guitars left, right and center on stage. By the time Whitehorse took to the stage at Toronto’s esteemed Massey Hall for their sold-out debut in 2013, the edge of the ledge effect of their earliest shows had transformed into a nimble ballet of moving instruments, layers of percussion, voice and keys, layered upon each other. Whitehorse has been nominated for the Polaris Short List (2013) for The Fate of the World Depends on This Kiss, played sold out shows across Canada, and established itself in the United States as a band to watch with stellar reviews for their first full-length album, The Fate of the World Depends on This Kiss. With the February 2015 release of their second full-length album, the fiery, forceful and finely tuned Leave No Bridge Unburned, Whitehorse continues to be a story told of intimacy and passion. Two musicians, one band, no looking back. Regularly priced tickets for the Monday, December 14, 7:30 p.m. performance by Whitehorse are $29.50 and may be purchased by calling 813.229.STAR (7827) or 800.955.1045 outside Tampa Bay,in person at the Straz Center Ticket Sales Office or online at www.strazcenter.org. Straz Center for the Performing Arts toPresent Whitehorse on December 14

The Straz Center for the Performing Arts presents Whitehorse on Monday, December 14, at 7:30 p.m., as part of theStraz Center’s 2015-2016 Club Jaeb series. Club Jaeb transforms the Straz Center’s Jaeb Theater into an intimate musicspace featuring folk, Americana, alternative, country and other “hand-picked music that matters.”

Whitehorse’s story has been told as two acclaimed musicians joining forces under one new name – no drummer, nokeyboard player, violinist or even bass player on call, and no producer. Just Luke Doucet and Melissa McClelland. Theirfirst album and EP demonstrate the success of this simple equation, one plus one, with an abundance of guitar slinging, songwriting expertise and white-hot desire.

Doucet and McClelland present a full band sound using live loops, bits and pieces of percussion, and swapping guitarsleft, right and center on stage. By the time Whitehorse took to the stage at Toronto’s esteemed Massey Hall for theirsold-out debut in 2013, the edge of the ledge effect of their earliest shows had transformed into a nimble ballet of movinginstruments, layers of percussion, voice and keys, layered upon each other.

Whitehorse has been nominated for the Polaris Short List (2013) for The Fate of the World Depends on This Kiss, played sold out shows across Canada, and established itself in the United States as a band to watch with stellar reviewsfor their first full-length album, The Fate of the World Depends on This Kiss. With the February 2015 release of theirsecond full-length album, the fiery, forceful and finely tuned Leave No Bridge Unburned, Whitehorse continues to be astory told of intimacy and passion. Two musicians, one band, no looking back.

Regularly priced tickets for the Monday, December 14, 7:30 p.m. performance by Whitehorse are $29.50 and may bepurchased by calling 813.229.STAR (7827) or 800.955.1045 outside Tampa Bay, in person at the Straz Center TicketSales Office or online at www.strazcenter.org.
