Musk deer is a very beautiful animal in our country. It doesn’t have horns but it has got rather long canine teeth. It has got big ears, brown fur and long legs. It eats plants.

This deer is a musk animal. Musk is used in medicine and perfumery. People hunt and kill musk deer so it is in the Red book.

This animals live in the mountains and can jump very high. They are shy, timid and helpless.

The number of musk deer was 250 thousand in 1845 in Russia, and only 10 thousand in the first third of the 20th century
