VIRGINIE AND ADRIEN,A FRENCH COUPLE WITH TWO CHILDREN, MET ONE SUNDAY ON THE GRANDS BOULEVARDS

What’s your favourite place?Provins. We live nearby. For the children, the medieval city is a magical place, and even more so in summer with the shows of knights fighting on horseback, the displays of birds of prey... We never get tired of watching them!

What do you do on Sunday in Paris? We visit an exhibition or a museum with the whole family... Here on the Grands Boulevards, for example, between the Grévin Museum, les Étoiles du Rex and the Chocolate Museum, there are 3 recreational sites within 200 metres! Or towards La Villette, there’s the Géode, the city of children... And with the metro, it’s easy: in 40 minutes, you can cross the whole of Paris!

A suggestion for this winter?Prolong the day with a walk under the Christmas decorations. Walk along the Department stores or on the Champs-Élysées, and take a tour on the Ferris wheel. Christmas is only once a year but we still love it!

DISNEYLAND® PARISMAGIC AND MICKEY

In the enchanted land of Mickey and other Disney characters, Christmas carries on until January 6! The highlights this year? The parade, with Santa Claus and the princesses from The Snow Queen, the latest Disney picture. Or the new night show around Sleeping Beauty’s castle, alternating projections, water jets and special effects. Or the majestic Christmas tree and the beautiful illuminations in the Park... But despite all that, never forget the 50 rides and other attractions. They’re magic!

LYDIA AND CHRISTOPHER,TWO TOURISTS ENCOUNTERED AT THE STATION AFTER A WEEKEND SPENT IN PARIS

What’s your favourite district? The Opera. For the Garnier Opera house, which you have to see from the inside, the department stores for shopping, the avenue leading down to the Royal Palace, the Louvre, the Tuileries gardens and the Seine... We always find something new (and we come here every year!).

An idea worth sharing?A day out around Paris. Last year, in the summer, after we visited the Musée d’Orsay and saw the Impressionist paintings, we wanted to go to Auvers-sur-Oise. This winter, we’re going to Fontainebleau. Even without a car, you can make the most of the region with the shuttle service from Paris or the public transport.

The place to go?The nave of the Grand Palais. The place is unique, grandiose. If we are lucky enough to be in Paris when they hold an event in it, we go there without hesitating.

VAUX LE VICOMTEAN ENCHANTED CHRISTMAS

Until January 5, the already enchanting surroundings of the Château have inspired a completely new setting for Christmas. While the Pinocchio show is given every day, each room is decorated with a different theme, with lights, fine food and log fires to pause by. In the Grand Salon, the centrepiece of the Château, stands a Christmas tree eight metres high, at the foot of which every child will find a surprise! And at nightfall, hundreds of candles illuminate the embroidery of the flowerbeds. PARISCityVISION offers round-trip transportation by bus from the centre of Paris, including a visit of the Château with audio guide, free time in the gardens and costumes for the kids!

The works of art in the Château include a magnificent decorative ornament designed to adorn the centre of a dining table, a gift from King Charles IV of Spain to the Emperor, which can be seen in the exhibition Of bronze and hardstone, a gift from Spain to Napoleon I.

FRANCIS,BAKER AND PASTRY-MAKER IN PARIS

What’s your favourite place? The rue Montorgueil. The pedestrian precinct, with its shops, cafe terraces and legendary venues is the best way to find out about good food in Paris, especially with the end-of-year celebrations coming up!

The thing to do?A cruise on the Seine. Take me: I’ve been living in Paris for 20 years, and it’s still a thrill. The banks of the River are beautiful, and at night, when monuments are lit up, the show is even better.

The place to go?A flea market. I love the one in Vanves. And the flea market in Saint-Ouen, for its great atmosphere. Even if you’re not bargain hunting, it’s a genuine stroll down memory lane with the different styles and periods.
