Fair Market Values for Land Use Change Tax Purposes• Local Assessing Officials will enter Fair Market Values for Land Use Change Tax calculation purposes in myVTax.Vermont.gov.

• No paper submittals to PVR!

• Print a paper copy of the return, create a cover letter for the landowner (outside of myVtax) and mail the information to the landowner notifying the landowner of the fair market value(s) and their appeal rights must be mailed by the town to the landowner.

• To setup a new lister username and password, contact the Tax IT Help Desk at (802) 828‐6634

• If you are  a new lister, ask them to set up your eCuse account for current use applications.

• Log into myVtax at:

General Navigation Tips

• Bold tends to be hyperlinks that will open up documents.

• Previous takes you back a page.

• Next takes you to the next page.

• Save Draft saves your work, but does NOT send it to the Department

• Submit send it to the Department.

• Orange Triangles in the corners are required fields.

• Grey background fields are not editable.

• White background fields are editable (some are required and some are optional).

Alerts

• Show you any unread messages.

• Like most bold items they are a hyperlinks.   Click on them words to open up the message.

• When a message is sent to you in myVtax, you will also get an email letting you know that you have a myVtax message.

Send us a message

• Use “Send us a message” to send secure messages to staff at the Department of Taxes.

• You can add attachments too!

• You will find sent messages under your “Correspondence” tab.

• When we reply to your message, you will see it in your “Alerts.”

• Confirmation Number:  Unique Identifying Number.

• View:   To look at the “return” without editing it

• Print: To print the LV‐314

• Edit: To edit/add information

• See comments from PVR• Add a comment to PVR• Add the Town Parcel ID• Required Information

• Fair Market Value of• Withdrawn and developed acres• Withdrawn and not developed acres• Total acres (total of not developed and developed acres)

• Date you send the notice of your Fair Market Value Calculation to the Landowner

• You still need to print this return and send the notice to the landowner.• Hyperlink to a cover letter for your use to send the landowner the FMVand appeal rights notification.

• Recording Information of the most recent Current Use Application (if not already entered)

• Submit: Send it back to PVR• You must have completed all the required fields to submit

• Cancel: Cancels your edits

• Save Draft: Saves your draft and you can return later to edit
