L_900: powerful, efficient, reliable
For over a century, both Nash and Siemens (elmo) have produced robust,
efficient and reliable liquid ring pumps and compressors to meet the
rigorous needs of such industries as
 Pulp and paper industry
 Mining
 Geothermal plants
 Sugar industry
 Process industries
... and many others
When the two companies merged in 2002, we combined our product lines to
enable us to offer the highest performance, reliability and efficiency in every
product class. Each model of the L_900 pumps and compressors is equipped
with an industry proven polyisoprene-lined pump casing to protect the pump
internals against corrosion and erosion. The unique inlet and discharge con-
figuration of each machine offers flexibility in piping and the top discharge
capability of the 2BE3 models eliminates the need for a trench and minimizes
floorspace. Each pump is 100% factory performance tested prior to shipment
and is backed by a two year warranty against materials and workmanship.

Split vacuum capability
With the addition of the center partition wall (or center shroud) in
the pump body, each half of the L_900 can operate at different
vacuum levels with differential pressures up to 338 mbar (10 in. Hg)
between the two pump halves. The advantage of this is significant
because it allows the use of fewer vacuum pumps which saves
space and installed cost.
Quiet operation and easy maintenance
Despite their size and capacity, the L_900 Series are amazingly quiet
during operation. Sound levels of 72 to 85 dBa (measured at a distance
of 1 meter (3.3 ft) from the source) have been recorded for even the
largest of the pump models.
Internal inspections are easily performed either through large
inspection ports located in the pump heads or through unused
discharge connections. No dismantling of the pump is required.
Robust, reliable and ready
Because the internal components rotate without making contact,
liquid ring vacuum pumps are practically wear and maintenance
free. The standard polyisoprene lining on the pump body resists
aggressive process gases and liquids to provide exceptional corrosion
resistance. For added corrosion resistance, stainless steel internal
components are available in certain models. Double-row tapered
roller bearings increase life in both belt and direct drive applications.
No matter what your application, the L_900 is ready to handle
all of your process needs!

Installation Flexibility
Due to the design of the pump heads, the L_900 models offer many
options for connecting both the inlet and discharge piping to simplify
installation in both new facilities or existing facilities where headroom
and space is limited.
From the vertical and horizontal inlet capability of the 2BE3 and P 2620
models to the top discharge capability of the 2BE3 models, the L_900
Series offers the best solution for your application.
Contact your local nash_elmo reprensentative or direct sales person to
discuss how the L_900 will fit your specific process needs.
Self-recirculation capability
The 2BE3 models help minimize water consumption through its ability to
internally recirculate seal water – without the need for circulating
pumps or external controls. The design of the internals also allows the
pump to draw water from an atmospheric tank without an external
pumping source alleviating the need for expensive pumps and control
systems.

Robust technology for the highest demands and varied applications
Machines in the L_Series distinguish themselves through low opera-
ting temperatures and are suitable for handling splash water, steam
and condensates. They were developed for the toughest applications
and can safely and reliably extract or compress even explosive gas/
steam mixtures (ATEX-certified). Selection of a suitable operating
liquid enables the L_Series vacuum pumps and compressors to be
optimally integrated into processes. Thanks to their low operating
costs and extensive performance range up to 37,000 m3/h
(22,000 cfm), they excel in any application.
Proven, reliable and extremely quiet
Whether vacuum pumps, compressors or systems for conveying air,
gases or air/gas mixtures, the extensive range of products in the
G_Series meets the widest range of requirements. Thanks to their
variable voltage motors, many are usable anywhere in the world
without the need for conversion. In addition to their compact con-
struction, full UL/CSA certification and innovative design, G_Series
pumps and compressors offer a comprehensive power range up to
2,500 m3/h (1,470 cfm), maximum power density and a wide selec-
tion of accessories, including frequency converters.
Simple design for varied applications
The vane pumps in our V_Series are known for their robust design,
easy handling and long service life. Furnished with an extremely
sturdy metal coating as well as installation- and service-friendly
plug & play functionality, these high performance machines are
extremely quiet in operation, and can meet even the most chal-
lenging industrial demands while covering an impressive perfor-
mance range up to 4,000m3/h (2,350 cfm) and 10 bar g (145 psig).
High reliability with low operating costs
The dry-running vacuum pumps in our D_Series are explosion-proof
and were specially developed for production processes involving
sensitive materials. Throughout the entire process, they operate
condensation-free – and therefore corrosion-free – because there
are no operating fluids to mix with the process gases. As a result,
discharge gases can simply be collected and/or returned to the process.
There are no waste products. In addition, all pumps in the D_Series
are highly efficient and provide a constant suction capacity over an
extremely wide range of pressures with a performance range up to
to 2,200 m3/h (1,300 cfm).
