NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF AREA AGENCIES ON AGING 39TH ANNUAL CONFERENCE & TRADESHOW

12 – 16, 2014JULY

2 39th Annual n4a Conference & Tradeshow | Dallas, Texas

Hosted by

Come Join Your Colleagues in Dallas!I invite and encourage you to join us at this year’s n4a Annual Answers on Aging Conference, July 12 – 16, 2014 in Dallas, Texas. This is a conference that delivers and one that you cannot afford to miss! Designed by and for Area Agencies on Aging, Title VI tribal aging programs and local community professionals in aging and disability services, the n4a Conference delivers answers on aging in stimulating general sessions with national experts; workshops that highlight cutting edge issues and best practices programs; and one-on-one conversations in the hallways, Tradeshow and networking functions that enable you to connect and share information with your colleagues.

Whereas last year’s successful Annual Conference focused on strategies to change and enhance the way AAAs and Title VI agencies do business, this year’s Conference will build on that theme by highlighting ways to build your agency’s business acumen, by addressing the development of performance and outcome measures for home and community-based services, and by enhancing your lines of business in order to position your agency for the future.

The n4a Conference Committee, together with our incredible Texas Host Committee, have put together a jam-packed Conference program designed to provide you with:

y Up-to-date information on the latest policy decisions and discussions in Washington, DC

y Cutting-edge and best practice information and ideas from AAAs and Title VI programs from across the nation including the winners of n4a’s Aging Innovations and Achievement Awards

y Successful business strategies and practices for non-profit and government-based agencies

y Sustainability models, including private pay and cost-sharing structures

y Leadership strategies to help you tackle culture change in your agency and community

y Information on new products and services available to you and your agency from conference supporters and vendors

y Opportunities to share thoughts and ideas with your colleagues who are dealing with the same challenges and opportunities that you are

y A Network of support and supporters who are all pushing for your success!

I know that in this day and age, the travel budget for your agency is tight but the n4a Conference is one you truly cannot afford to miss. The ideas, strategies and answers on aging and disability services that you will discover will save your agency a hundred-fold the cost of your travel…and the benefits to your clients will be even greater.

Please share this brochure with your colleagues and don’t forget to register for the Conference right away to take advantage of the special “early bird” pricing.

I look forward to seeing you in Dallas this July!

General SessionsLeading the Way in Home and Community-Based Aging and Long-Term Services and Supports

Enhancing and Developing Your Lines of BusinessArea Agencies on Aging and Title VI aging programs are leaders in the provision of home and community-based aging and long-term services and supports. Over the past forty years, the Aging Network has successfully developed lines of business that make a difference in the lives of older adults, people with disabilities and their caregivers. In order to build the business case for expanding the scope of Aging Network services to new purchasers—managed care organizations, hospitals, accountable care organizations, health homes and private pay individuals—it is critical that AAAs and Title VI programs hone and enhance their lines of business for the future. The General Sessions at this year’s Annual Conference will focus on Enhancing and Developing Your Lines of Business to position the Aging Network to build on its strengths in the competitive new world of aging and disability services.
