PROFICIENT TEACHER AWARDSTeachers play a significant role in the learning of students and the Department of Education’s introduction of Professional Standards for Teaching ensures that all teachers continue to grow and develop their craft in order to deliver high quality and effective teaching that improves student outcomes.Recently Miss Emma Marvell and Mrs Lizzie Stove have been acknowledged for their practice and hard work in achieving the status of Proficient Teacher. Their day to day practice is recognised through the accreditation process and ensures that teachers continue to put quality learning at the centre of their day.The accreditation process also acknowledges teachers who are highly skilled and effective practioners who continually work to improve their practice and the practice of others. Mrs Tame is one of one hundred teachers who has demonstrated and achieved accreditation as a Highly Accomplished Teacher. Her attendance as part of the HALT (Highly Accomplished and Lead Teacher) allows valuable sharing and networking to take place. We are fortunate in our rural schools that we have teachers that embrace quality learning and teaching ensuring that the Professional standards are part of day to day operations.

GOLD BADGEOur Gold Badge presentation will take place on Thursday, 13th December under the Primary Cola. Students who have received four silver badges will be presented with their Gold Badge. We look forward to sharing this occasion with our families. We did have to move this event from Wednesday as Mrs Tame will be at Bingara attending a Principal’s meeting.
