A Virtual Museum for the Negritos of the Philippines. Part One: Their History A link between the past, the present and the future. During my research I discovered that up till today people fantasize about a lost continent in SE-Asia called “Lemuria” or “Mu”, simlar to the fabled “Atlantis”. The only appropriate term for this region that had emerged during the last Ice Age is “SUNDA”. Paleoclimatology is a science; manyvaried studies have established a precise time-frame and the extent of the Last Glacial Maximum and its implications for SE-Asia. The National Geophysical Data Center gives an altimetric map with precise characteristics of the region of which a flat shelf is the main feature. The flora of the different biomes had been analysed by pollen analysis from deep-sea core drilling and a map established by the Oak Rich National Laboratory. The population dynamics have been determined through DNA analysis by various scientists, notably by the Max Planck Institute with their research on the Denisovan Man as a genetic marker and which redefined the later phases of the migration. The use of the term “Homo sapiens niger” (no scientific connotation) is the only way to give credit to the entire people who had ventured out of Africa and migrated around a third of the globe’s area. At the end of the last ice age, a dramatic climate change affected the region of present-day China, enabling various neolithic cultures to emerge and to thrive through agriculture.
