New Community is a growing family of church congregations, missional communities and projects serving the city of Southampton and the wider Solent area. Our goal is to the see the whole region filled with the Good News about Jesus, bringing God’s salvation, healing and hope to those who do not yet know Him.
We are committed to: seeing every member of our community equipped and encouraged to be all God has called them to be building vibrant Christian communities; developing projects to serve the needs of those around us.
Over the past few years, the shape and structure of New Community has changed dramatically as we have been led by God to partner with others, make new connections and develop new areas of ministry. Our conviction is that we can do more together than we can on our own.
In this brochure we want to share with you a snapshot of what God is doing across our community.
We hope you will be inspired and encouraged.

NewCommunity Central
New Community Central is a growing, family friendly congregation with a desire to create a great place of belonging for people of every age and background.
We meet in the City at Central Hall on Sunday mornings – for vibrant worship, practical teach-ing, and the chance to be together. There is a full children and youth programme for ages 0-18’s with Connect Groups meeting throughout the week in homes across the City as a way of shar-
ing life together. We have a large Student com-munity from both of the Universities, which also meets regularly during the term time.
Our desire is that everyone who is part of Central will be able to encounter God and become a true follower of Jesus, empowered to change the world around them. As a large and busy church there is plenty going on that you can get involved with or just come and visit one Sunday - you would always be warmly welcomed.

City Life is a vibrant, multicultural church in Southampton. We meet in an old Methodist building on the edge of the Flowers Estate. We partner locally with Flower of Justice and Swaythling Methodist church who also meet in the same building, as well as being part of the New Community family and part of the Southampton Christian Network.
Our vision is to equip everyone to love God, love one another and love the world through our
corporate worship in our Sunday celebrations and through out network of connect groups and missional communities. We aim to enable every person to grow, give and go: To grow in our relationship with God and in character and gift; To give ourselves, and our resources, to build loving relationships with those in the church and wider community; To go into our local communities and beyond making the love of God known, through our words, actions and supernatural gifts.

Flowers is a lively family orientated congregation, comprising of local people from the Flower Roads in Southampton and beyond. Our vision is simple: Love God and Love our Neighbours. Through His love, we have witnessed Jesus bring healing and salvation to many people in our local area. Our congregation is led by Bob and Colette Light, who both live and serve in the community.
Our Sunday meetings are a time for us to gather together, praise God and share the wonderful things He has been doing in our lives. As well as Sundays, we have various other groups that meet in the week. Please do contact us if you would like to find out more about our gatherings.

The population living in the city centre (SO14) has risen considerably in recent years. Our response is an increase in missional activity to reach this growing community. Utilising the Orchard Lane Church building, we are launching a parent and toddler group, a youth drop-in, and exploring other creative ideas at engaging with people. Why not join us?...
