NParks is studying possible routes connecting this to other parks, such as Springleaf Nature Park and Bishan-Ang Mo Kio Park.

One lane of Old Upper Thomson Road will be converted into a park connector for joggers and cyclists. It will also provide safer passage for animals crossing between the Central Catchment Nature Reserve and the upcoming Thomson Nature Park. The connector will be ready by early 2019.
