Manythankstoallofyouforyourbestwishesandlovelycommentsfollowingthebirthofourdaughter,Holly.SheisprogressingwellandkeepingDadupatnight.

Weareentering thebusiestpartoftheyearforbothourteachersandstudentswithupcomingevents,reports,staffingandclassingtobecompleted.Pleaseshareanyinformationwithyourclassteacherthatmayassistuswithclassselections.Iam currently working with our executive teachers preparing preliminary 2017classes. Ifyouhaveaparticularrequestforyourchild’sclassplacement,pleasesendinaletteraddressedtomyself.Ifpossible,Iwillsupporttherequest.Pleasekeepinmind thatmovementofchildrencanbedifficult. Manyhoursarespentensuring special needs and the social development of students aremet. Thesefactorsaretakenintoaccountwhenmakingclassesbutadaptingtochangeisalifeskillandisallpartofeachchild’sdevelopingresilience.

WhatagreatpleasureitwastositintheaudienceandlistentothespeechesofourprospectiveschoolleadersandImustsaythatIwasveryimpressedwithallofourcandidates.Iamsurewhomeverisselectedwillleadthestudentbodywithpride.

Overthenextfewyearswewillbephasinginourupdatedlogo.Youwillstarttoseethechangesinourdigitalmediaandsignagebutnotonouruniform.Thelogoonourschooluniformwillnotchangethisyear.WearecurrentlyexploringoptionsforouruniforminconsultationwithourP&C.

OnWednesday26thOctober40stage2studentsattendedaMiloBlastCricketGalaDayatLongJetty.Allstudentsplayedatleast3gamesandnotonlydidthestudentscricketskillsimproveoverthedaybuttheirbehaviourandattitudewascommendable.Specialthanksmustgotothemanyparentswhoassistedwithtransport,organisingteamsandfortheircommitmenttosupportingandwatchingourstudents.

TennisStateChampionships

OnWednesday9thNovember,ourteamof4stage2students,LeviC.,TeganM.,CallanB.andHarveyK.participatedintheStateFinaloftheANZToddWoodbridgeCupheldattheSydneyOlympicParkTennisCentre.Ourteamplayed5poolmatchesagainstvariousSydneyMetropolitanteams,managingtofinish2ndinourpool.Thismeantwewereplayingofffor5-8thintheafternoonfinalsagainstBarellanP.S.nearGriffithintheRiverina.Ourgamewasextremelytightthatfinishedinanailbightingtie.Ourfinalplacingwasequalfifth.Considering26teamsplayedthefinalsinSydneyandover280teamscompetedinregionalqualifyingdaysstatewide,tofinish5thinNSWisanoutstandingachievement.Thankstotheparentswhoassistedwithtransportandyourcontinuedsupportforourstudents.
