New York Post, Thursday, July 20, 2017 nypost.com 39 F ASHION mogul Elie Tahari (inset) has rented his over-the-top ocean- front Sagaponack estate for a mighty $800,000 — its full asking price — for the summer to a mystery tenant. Last year, as we reported, a hedge funder nabbed the spread, which asked $800,000 for July and August. The stunning home is 4,500 square feet (which actually passes for cozy on the East End for a certain crowd). Built in 1998, the pad at 135 Crestview Lane comes with three bedrooms and three bathrooms. It sits on 2½ acres, features a pool and boasts 250 feet of oceanfront land. Inside, a private master suite looks to the Atlantic and sports a spa- like bathroom with a “room-sized” shower, a “pool-like” tub and a balcony overlook- ing the great room. That latter space is decked out with a fireplace and 10-foot glass doors that lift up to reveal ocean views and sounds. Additional features include a sun deck leading to the beach. There are two other guest suites — one is oceanfront, the other has a four-person steam shower. Tahari’s house, curated by designer Tom Flynn with midcentury details, also boasts a chef’s kitchen, a 12-person dining table and an outdoor entertaining pavilion. The listing brokers were Sotheby’s International Realty’s Keith Green and Ann Ciardullo. The renter was repped by Douglas Elli- man’s Matthew Breitenbach. THAT designer Jason Wu (left) was spotted at a fashion show for George Sotelo’s Thorsun swimwear line, held in a full-floor pent- house at Tessler Development’s 172 Madison Ave. — one of four in the building. While the penthouse where the fashion show was held is not yet on the market, a similar one the floor above asks $14.5 million. The four-bedroom residence measures 2,600 square feet. Features include a pool, a sun room and a renovated kitchen. Listing broker William Stoecker, of Town & Country Real Estate, tells Gimme Shelter that he worked for DeSanti Sr.’s father at Dreesen’s as a summer job when he was a kid. Son Rudy DeSanti Jr. now runs Dreesen’s catering business, and sources ingredients from local farms and fishermen. Catch some ‘Ray’ THE apartment of the late Doris Roberts (inset), the Emmy Award- winning actress known for her role as overbearing mom Marie Barone on “Everybody Loves Raymond,” is on the market for $2.99 million following a price cut and a brokerage swap. (The spread originally hit the market for $3.29 million in January.) The duplex, at 200 Central Park South, has views of Central Park. The two-bedroom unit features an open living room, where she loved to entertain. Brokers are Corcoran’s Robby Browne, Chris Kann and Jennifer Ireland Kubis. m40 Billie Jean thought

Venus was finishedBy THOMAS LIPE

Billie Jean King considers Venus Williams’ performance this past year to be inspiring, especially because she did not think Williams would be able to play singles after her medical scare last year.

At a press conferencebefore the New York Empire’s 2513 World Team Tennis loss to Philadelphia at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in Flushing, King said she thought Williams’ career was in serious jeopardy following her diagnosis with Sjögren’s syndrome.

“I was concerned,”King said. “I thought maybe she would be lucky to play doubles.”

Last September, Williams’ confidential medical records, which were being held by the World AntiDoping Agency, were released after falling into the hands of Russian hackers. The recordsrevealed Venus suffered from the immune systemdisorder, which can be characterized by dry eyes and dry mouth.

But the inspiration didnot stop there. King has also been impressed with Williams being ableto compete at her age.

“She’s winning hugeand she’s 37,” she said.

SPORTS SHORTSNFL: Cops suspend Zeke investigation

Dallas police have suspended an investigation intoan incident at a bar involving Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott. Police said Wednesday the investigation was suspended “due to the lack of a complaint,” and that no other witnesses had come forward. The statement said police were unsuccessful in reaching the man who was punched in the nose Sunday night.lAccording to an ESPN report, Chargers rookie

receiver Mike Williams, the No. 7 overall pick out of Clemson, might need surgery on a herniated disk in his back. The surgery would end his season. A source told ESPN the Chargers don’t know when Williams hurt his back, and he may have had the injury during the NFL combine but masked it.lPackers receiver Geronimo Allison was sus

pended without pay for the season opener against Seattle for violating the league’s substanceabuse policy.lThe death of former NFL receiver James Hardy

has been ruled a suicide by Indiana officials, who said the 31yearold died of “asphyxia due to drowning.”

MLB: Martinez hurt in D’backs debutJ.D. Martinez bruised his left hand after being hit

on it while striking out for a second time against the Reds’ Tim Adelman, forcing him out of his debut with the Diamondbacks, a 43 loss in Cincinnati.l In Atlanta, pitcher Mike Montgomery hit his

first home run to lead the Cubs to an 82 win over the Braves. The Cubs’ Kris Bryant left the game and is daytoday with a sprained left little finger.l In Denver, Nolan Arenado lined three homers

and tied a careerhigh with seven RBIs, helping the Rockies rout the Padres 184.lThe Red Sox, who defeated the Blue Jays 51,

officially released Pablo Sandoval because he didn’t report after being designated for assignment last week, but according to reports, the third baseman will sign a minor league deal to return to the Giants, pending a physical.

ETC.: Starbury: One more China seasonFormer Knick and Net Stephon Marbury said

on Instagram he is headed back to Beijing for one final pro season, but will play for the Beijing Fly Dragons after playing from 2011 through earlier this year with the Beijing Ducks.lTour de France rookie Primoz Roglic won Stage

17, while Chris Froome consolidated his overall lead.l Players on American Hockey League con
