NEWSLETTER ESTONIA

On 30th September 2013, our partners of Estonia was our host for the 4th meeting in the Grundtvig Learning Partnership Everybody Can Do It (ECDI). There were about 19 people (staff and learners), in this case, there were six partner countries, because Portugal and Romani could not attend.

The first day, our partners picked us up in Prnu to take us to Tstamaa where we stayed together, during all that time in Maria Tourist Farm, a natural place which help you to work from your inner true.

The next event was visiting the building and meet the personal at of Tstamaa School, where their students welcomed us with happiness, music, dance and creativity.

After a time working in the project (at the bottom of this newsletter are the meeting conclusions) the Estonia team prepared a tourist route by Tstamaa.

PROJECT MEETING OBJETIVES

Reviewing the actions that we have done so far or which are pending to do.

Developing a DAFO in group.

Working in the actions that are in the project for this meeting.

Planning the work plan for the next meeting in France from 24 to 28 of March.

Implementing the workshop, in this workshop both staff and learners are involved.

Visit the education center of Tstamaa and the surroundings where it is.

PROJECT MEETING PROGRAMME

Review the tasks that we should have done so far. Presentation of the worksheet which has the summary of the actions that should be done by now, and find which partners have to do some tasks. The coordination team will try to help for the solution about any problem they might have.

Planing to make a video, each country should make a video to show the 25th November: International day against gender violence. All partners decided that: The video will be done by the partners if they want, because is this activity is not in the original project.

The main objective will be making women's testimonies visible

The contents: life stories and proposals to solve the problem of the gender violence.

The partners who decide making the video will be responsible of making a notes guide, select the actors and actreeses, record, prepare and upload the video on Dropbox. It can be used by all partners as a tool to educate and make people aware.

Proposal of a diffusion or dissemination plan by each partner. Each partner should design a diffusion plan with information about when and where they will advertise the project and their results. This plan should be on Dropbox.

All together will make a DAFO analysis about the project, communication and coordination.

During our visit in Tstamaa all partner and staff made the next very interesting workshop.

THE EXERCISE

BAFA-BAFA game exercise to understand different cultures and possible gender issues

Ideal number of participants10 20 participants, age: 14 till ..., it would be suggestable to have in both groups men and women

The purpose of the activity(the general objective of the activity)Facilitates the understanding of cultural differences (differences between groups, societies)

The specific objectives of the activityTo recognize and appreciate the similarities and differences among groups and societies

Used materials2 separate rooms

Description of the activitys stagesParticipant are divided into two groups and separated into different rooms. Both groups have to create their own mini-culture with its own rules. After creating the new culture the groups start to exchange the members who will try to adopt into others culture. If they do something wrong they will be sent away. (In the culture they cannot speak, only to use some phrases and body language.)How does created culture work? If groups have decided the rules and certain behaviours in their new culture they start to move in the room and follow the rules they created. Newcomer have to observe at first what they do and then try to go into the new society and to follow all the rules and behaviours what he see. If he/she will do some mistake then the group has to send him/her away. Going back to his/her group he/she will have some to time to explain what did he/she saw and give some advices to next group member to go to another group.If all participants has tried at least once to adopt into the new culture then groups come together into one room and at first explain to another group their own culture. After explanations follows the discussion: what did they feel then they had to go into the new culture, was it easy to adopt, what did they feel then they were sent away and etc.

The results of the activityThe game is over then each member of the group has at least once tried to adopt to the others culture. If participants want then they can try to adopt more than one time.Main result of the game is to understand that each subgroup and society is different and the rules according men and women behaviour could be different too also.

Activitys evaluation/Impressions of the participantsDiscussion have to follow, each participant have to have opportunity to share his/her emotions. (30-50 minutes)

The fifth project meeting of the learning partnership Grundtvig "Everybody Can Do It" (ECDI) will be held by Mission Locale de l'Agenais, de l'Albret et du Confluent between 24 th -28 th March 2014. The next topics will be study:

Discussion about the evaluation of the objectives and their impact on the different activities. Prepare a evaluative tool about the project.

Discussion about updating.

Discussion about the structure of the digital book about the good practices in order to equality gender. It will be showing in the last meeting.

Debate about organization in the next meeting.
