Advanced Robotics for Manufacturing(ARM) issued a formal solicitation for acall for proposals for eight topic areasrelative to advancing roboticstechnology. These topic areas are anextension of seven topic areasannounced in October 2017, as well as anew topic area on software.

Making Ohio Campaign Continues

Ohio TechNet supported the launchof MakingOhio.com in Nov. 2017. The30-day social media campaign garnered365 new followers,1,184 new site visitors,1,691 social link clicks, 58,000 totalengagements, and a 6.6% engagementrate. Making Ohio's platforms continue tobe utilized. Spread the word aboutmanufacturing via Making Ohioplatforms!

Ohio TechNet is designed to transform the way in which higher education works with employers to better aligneducation and training with industry needs for Advanced Manufacturing in Ohio. The goals and strategies of OhioTechNet are to better identify businesses' most pressing needs, align and accelerate training programs to fi l l theskil ls gap, and support transformation of the state's workforce delivery system.

Ohio TechNet launched in 2014 via a $15 mill ion TAACCCT grant made to LCCC on behalf of a statewideconsortium of 11 Ohio community colleges inc luding Columbus State, Cincinnati State, Tri-C, Eastern Gateway,Lakeland, LCCC, Owens, Rhodes, Stark State, Sinclair and Zane State.

This workforce product was funded by a grant awarded by the U.S. Department of Labor’s Employment andTraining Administration.
