skills in Business Manage-

ment, Entrepreneurship, and

Motivational presentation.

The women are hype for busi-

ness and the ideas presented

by many are simply great and

worth looking forward to.

For Adopt a Club, the future

starts today. Adopt a Club

project has come up with a

new twist of events lined up to

reach their target of 1000

youth by December 2015. The

Dream League is just around

the corner and all teams are

shaking themselves up from

the festive holiday slumber

and getting ready for the

March league that will culmi-

(connues on page 2)

The best thing about the fu-

ture is that it comes one day

at a time, and that it belongs

to those who prepare for it

today. Borrowing words from

Oprah Winfrey: “When I look

into the future (of Dream Fac-

tory), it’s so bright it burns

my eyes!”

Dream Factory’s secret of the

future is hidden in our daily

committed activities; working

with women in the Women

Empowerment Program,

working with the community

youth in the Adopt a Club,

working with individuals

abroad in the Volunteer Pro-

gram, and working with the

people that want to improve

their skill in computers in the

IT Program and indeed.

The year 2015 holds so many

exciting activities in all our

departments. The work is

already on! This January the

Women Empowerment De-

partment has already opened

the year with a powerful In-

tensive Workshop comprising

20 women who are entitled to

grants to begin their busi-

nesses. The workshop attract-

RecentchangesIn november our leader and founder Peder Tind moved back to

Denmark with his family aer 5 years in Zambia. They are sll

involved in Dream Factory from Denmark together with other

key supporters, supporng and mentoring the work in Zambia.

In Zambia the daily leadership and work is carried out by our

great staff. Peder is serving on the board from now on.

In short, the work in Zambia connues, and the support from

people and organisaons in Denmark is unchanged. We hope

and ask that every supporter connues to support Dream

taste for the on-coming volunteers; simp-

ly, a lifetime experience is always ex-

pected!

Dream Factory knows that there is no way

of judging the future but by the past. That

is why the ministry program spreads

throughout our daily departmental

activities and will remain to be an

important and integral part of our

firm.

Welcome to a whole brand new year

with brand new programs. We are

happy you are a part of something

bigger: Dream Factory! Stay on board

and together, we will row to shore!

bering that soon it will be the past;

and we must respect the past, remem-

bering that it was once all that was

between Zambia and Denmark and I look

forward with great enthusiasm how Mort-

son and the volunteers in collaboration

continue raising up clubs, talents and

places where dreams and hopes for a

bright future are unleashed.

Adopt a Club will no doubt

continue its rapid development

and before long will positively

affect over 1000 boys and girls

by the end of 2015. We current-

ly serve about 600 youth since

the inception of Adopt-a –Club.

In 2015 we aim to reach for the

stars. The sky is always the

limit for us.

If you would like to be part of

the Adopt a Club success story

and use your time and resour-

ces to a worthy cause? Please

contact us. We will be deligh-

ted to hear from you.

We have entered into a new year which,

as usual, gives rise to reflecting on the

past and pursue new goals in the future.

Despite several changes within the orga-

nization, 2014 has in many ways been a

successful year for Dream Factory.

This has, among other things,

led and found Mortson (in char-

ge of Adopt a Club) a busy

person. Therefore, it is essenti-

al that we, friends and stake-

holders of Dream Factory, sup-

port Mortson the way we can in

the times ahead.

Thankfully, we have a good

relationship with our sponsors

and friends abroad, and there

has always been incredibly

support for the Adopt a Club

project. Once again, our dear

friends from Roskilde, Den-

mark have provided a lot of

football equipment. We offer

special thanks to Finn Lohff

Johansen and DBU (Danish Football Asso-

ciation) for collecting and donating more

than 300 complete jerseys worth more

than 100,000 DKK.

I’m thrilled by the ongoing partnership

nate into a Dream Cup in October, with a

hope of inviting a team from Denmark.

As President Obama once put it, ‘On eve-

ry front there are clear answers out there

that can make this country stronger, but

we’re going to break through the

fear and the frustration people are

feeling. Our job is to make sure

that even as we make progress,

that we are also giving people a

sense of hope and vision for the

future’. That is what Adopt a Club

project stands for: Giving hope

and vision for the common youth

through sport.

The IT program has restructured

into a one month intensive course

with a view to reach to as many

community people as possibly can

whilst maintaining the quality of

(connued from page 1) the program.

The Volunteer Program already looks

exciting with a substantial number of Vol-

unteers enlisted to visit Zambia starting

this February. There are a lot of activities,

sites to see, places to visit and foods to

they report on how their businesses are

faring. Even when we visit them on Fri-

days, we could see that there was some

improvement in their businesses.

Below is a chart of last year’s achieve-

ments and challenges:

Continuing in 2015

In 2015 we have graduated last years

group of women, who will continue on

their own, though we will keep contact

with them, to ensure they stay on course.

Also we have started a new group of 20

women, who is now being taught how to

make a succesful business to sustain them

and their family.

Business is the blessing from above and

all you will see is great business in

women empowerment department al-

ways.

The year 2014 was a year of running

women empowerment with a different

business plan. Women tried to do diffe-

rent business so that they may do great in

their business areas like selling of empty

bottles in Lusaka, banana business, ope-

rating retaurants, selling water in town,

selling dry fish, selling clothes, vegetab-

les and so on.

As women empowerment department, it

was so great to see them producing good

results during Tuesday meetings when

year! Happy New Year to all the friends of

2 volunteers from 2013: Zambia… Throughout our time spend in

this vast country, we bungee jumped at a

height of more than 100 meters, walked

alongside lions as if they were house cats,

examined Rhinos at a nerve-racking close

distance, and basically experienced the

classic adrenaline-filled backpacker ad-

venture. However, this is not why we miss

Zambia.

When we embarked on this journey

+7,500 km from home, we did not know

what to expect, but came with open arms

and a mind-set ready for fun and adventu-

re. We had a unique opportunity to really

experience the culture on first hand, and

meet the people that define Zambia. Du-

ring our stay, we had without a doubt

been put to the test and had several chal-

lenges throughout our three months stay,

which had helped us evolve ourselves.

What made Zambia special for us, was not

a single, big experience, but rather all

the small, which made each day just a

little more special. Whether it was tea-

ching children at the nearby school or

helping an adult to create the perfect

résumé for a job application. We had to

some extend contributed to the local

community, but what we had received

ourselves easily tops that by a 1,000 ti-

mes.

One thing that is most clear in our consci-

ence is the level of gratitude we received

from the Zambian people. One day, ar-

med with a projector, a laptop and ice-

cream, we sat down with 20 kids, and saw

a Disney movie. It was clear that this

didn’t happen every day. They were hap-

py, but we were sure that our day had

been at least as amazing.

A nation is nothing without its people and

our journey to Zambia would definitely

not have been the same, if it had not been

for all the wonderful people we met along

the way. This is why we miss Zambia -

and ‘This is Africa’ - TIA!

We look very much forward to one day

set foot onto the amazing country of Zam-

bia and experience everything anew.

Cheers from two Mzungus!

Mads Kristiansen & Andreas Melsen

We wrapped up our 2014 volunteer pro-

gram with two young and vibrant people:

- Mike Ib Anderson and Julie Uth Krab.

Mike, whose passion is soccer, was invol-

ved with the Adopt a Club program and

spent his time training with the various

community football clubs. Julie was tea-

ching grades 5 and 6 pupils in English at

a local school called Buyantanshi Com-

munity School and both were also enga-

ged in teaching Physical Education, P.E.

besides spending some time visiting the

women in Nkwazi who are part of

our Women Empowerment Project.

This is what Julie had to say about

her experience in Zambia."I think

everyone should come to Zambia

as a volunteer. It is really amazing

to see how little it takes to bring joy

and make a difference in people's

lives. I love going to school not

only to teach and help them get a

better future, but also to see the

children happy, smiling and wan-

ting to hug me".

We are hopeful for yet another exiting

journey with the incoming volunteers this
