Cross Country
Congratulations to all students who represented our school at the cross country event this week.
I received numerous reports regarding the superb effort you put in, and the admirable positive
behaviour that you displayed, while at the event. I was very proud to hear of how our young people
were held in such high regard! My special thanks to our superb staff who supported students in the
lead up to the event and on the day. We will proudly display the shield won on the day in the
Administration Office.

Our school canteen is up and running on Wednesdays. A friendly reminder that you will need to
register on ‘QuickCliq’ if you want to order a lunch from the canteen on Wednesdays. A pamphlet with

Nationally Consistent Collection of Data
Our school is part of a national project about students with disability and/or learning difficulties.
We have been asked to provide data about the number and learning needs of children at our school. The name
of the school and the name of the students will not be reported. Information about the different types of needs
and the programs and resources the school uses to overcome barriers and support children with special
educational needs and health related matters will be collected.
We believe it is important to contribute to this because it will help Governments and the Department of
Education develop better policies that acknowledge the level of resources needed in schools to meet the needs
of all students in Western Australia.
If you would like to learn more about the Nationally Consistent Collection of Data for School Students with
Disability, there are flyers available at the Administration Office or you can visit this website:
https://docs.education.gov.au/node/33415
Pre-primary 2020 All current Kindy students will need to re-enrol for Pre-primary for 2020.
Enrolment packages were sent home via the classroom teacher in week 1 of Term
3. Enrolments are due 16 August 2019. Please see page 5 in this Newsletter for
more information.
When using our online banking please use the
students first and last name against the
transaction so our records are kept accurate.
Thank you

2020 Enrolment update
Dear Parents,
Please be advised of the following changes to immunisation and enrolment requirements for kindergarten students as
from 22 July 2019, directed by Public Health Amendment (Immunisation Requirements for Enrolment) Act 2019 and the
School Education Regulations 2000 being passed on Friday 19 July 2019.
The current 2019 kindergarten students are now required to re-enrol for Pre-primary in 2020 and will also need to provide
an up to date immunisation statement as listed below, with their enrolment form. Please also provide your child’s
Medicare number on the enrolment form.
An Australian Immunisation Register (AIR) Immunisation History Statement, no more than two months old, with a
status of ‘up to date’; or
an AIR Immunisation History Form, no more than six months old, if the child is on a catch up schedule; or
a valid immunisation certificate issued or declared by the Chief Health Officer.
If your child’s immunisation status is ‘not up to date’ and no other acceptable documentation is provided, parent/carers
can apply through the principal for an exemption because of particular family circumstances.
Pre-primary enrolment packs for 2020 have been provided to students who are currently enrolled and within the local
intake area for Golden Bay Primary School.
If your child will not be re-enrolling for 2020, or you require further information, please contact the Administration Office
on 9583 8800.
Kind regards

Dear Parent/Guardian
RE: School Run4Fun Colour Explosion 23 August 2019.
We’re turning our event from bland to GRAND this year by adding an explosion of colour. The more money we raise the more we can
provide for the students through vital school projects.
The School Run4Fun Colour Explosion will be held on 23rd August next term. We do ask that you bring a spare change of clothes to
school, most importantly a plain white shirt as the students will be covered in powder from head to toe. The day’s focus is on fun and
fitness with the added benefit of raising funds for our school.
Colour Powder
The colour powder used in our event has been sourced direct from India, the home of Holi Powder. It is made of high quality
corn starch and permitted food colours. It’s non-toxic, biodegradable, skin safe and environmentally friendly. Toxicological Risk
Assessment and ingredient listings can be obtained from the School Office upon request. Students with asthma are advised to be
careful in their decision to participate.
How Does My Child Fundraise?
Students have now received a Sponsorship Form with instructions on how to raise money and order prizes. Students obtain
donations in cash using the Sponsorship Form together with online fundraising.
Students who raise as little as $10 or more will receive an incentive prize for their efforts. But why not aim higher? You have the
option to choose up to five (5) prizes and this will set your fundraising goal. Family and friends are your greatest supporters, so ask
them first for your support. You will reach your fundraising goal in no time.
Student Profile Page
Create a Student Profile Page at www.myprofilepage.com.au which is unique to you. There are also some great features like
recording your sponsorships and selecting your prize goal.
You can also register for online fundraising. It’s the easiest way to help your child raise money and to reach your fundraising goal
sooner.
WIN A SHARE OF $200,000 WORTH OF FREE SPONSORSHIP DONATIONS. Create a Student Profile Page at
www.myprofilepage.com.au and enter your unique code found on page five (5) of your Sponsorship Form to see if you ’re an
instant winner. Give your fundraising goal a kick start!
How to Order Prizes?
To reward your child for their efforts, they will receive incentive prizes based on the total amount of sponsorship dollars raised in
cash, online, and if applicable, any FREE SPONSORSHIP DONATIONS won using the unique code on page five (5) of the Sponsorship
Form. You have two options to place your prize order:
1. Login or create a Student Profile Page at www.myprofilepage.com.au. Once the fundraiser has finished, click the ‘ORDER MY PRIZE’
button and then confirm your total amount raised and order your prize/s, OR
2. Complete the back page of the Sponsorship Form and return to the school.
Please note, all donations need to be finalised on or before 23rd August. Student prizes will be delivered shortly after.
Thank you in advance for your participation, and get ready for a BLAST OF COLOUR! Happy fundraising! More information will be
provided next term before the event.
Regards, Golden Bay Primary Parents and Citizens Association Inc.

School Banking day is Friday
Remember, Friday is School Banking day between 8:20 — 8:40am in the undercover area. Students
should bring in their weekly deposit to the undercover area.
For every deposit made at school, students will receive a silver Dollar mites token. Once students
have individually collected 10 tokens they can redeem them for an exclusive School Banking reward
item in recognition of their regular saving habits.
School Banking is also a great fundraiser for our school. Our school receives a Regular Savers
contribution of $5 for every 10 deposits processed per student as well as an Annual Contribution
which is based on the number of students who made at least one School Banking deposit in the
prior year.
If your child has lost their book they can bring their money to school in a sealed envelope with a note
and on the next banking day we will issue them with a replacement.
Thank you for supporting the school banking program at Golden Bay Primary School. We would also
like to thank the wonderful parents who volunteer as our School Banking Co—coordinators and
process our banking every week.
