John Rs Heinkel he111 bomber in flight.. Gary R took a realistic picture!
‘Now Herman, keep a lookout for Spitfires this time, too cold for
damn swimming!'
Launch time for an eComp round ... we had flying time before this round, worked fine.
Phil and Jamie went to the Goondiwindi Giant Scale Flyin... this Cub by a Port Macquarie modeller (we think) anyway
it’s an aluminium constructed model.. pretty neat job of welding together a very impressive and different model ...
would have been draughty on a cold day!
Phil's FM2 Wildcat continues
to grow, interesting to compare rudder to my F4F Wildcat, the extra area was
needed to keep on the straight and narrow on little carriers in the Atlantic with its upgraded torquey motor, and it’s extra pair of 250lb bombs for U-boats. Made
them feel wanted!
Gary R with flying photo of Stik, he is good with camera!
Jet launch on the rails? A high start is stretched out to give the catapult like launch as long as model stays on the rails it’s up up
and away!
Stan with his new eGlider... flew very nicely, a pleased guy, with its performance.
Damien and Lindsey with their helicopters
'Now as I was saying..'. James and Warren chatting on
the Fathers Day Flyin at the field.
A BBQ was cooked by Phil, Nigel had the pleasure of
taking out the family , and paying for it too?
A nice Zero giant scaler from Goondiwindi fly in..
Warren, this is what a Zero REALLY looks like! Just kidding.....
This is the Laser 360 motor for
the coming FM2
Wildcat.. as the
weight is aimed at 34lb so it’s going to need all the help it
can get!
Tony's own design model, heck it’s bigger than Tony! Taipan is a light model and flies very well.. Tony sent me scads of info but the download god is on strike, maybe next month.
Covering going on the FM2 Wildcat, great to see the credit card doing a great job, not sure if that’s a
regular use, I have also used this method!?
Jamie’s sweet flying Decathlon, motor bigger than
a postie bike!
Greg Flying James' kit built Glider, there is talk of building a 2.5 metre wing as model weight makes the 2 metre wing less attractive and a lighter wing
loading could be better!?
Meanwhile...... .... 'now if you behave like your big
brother I’ll put your wings back on!'.....
'Now Phil, how about putting my clothes on!' The Wildcat is built from Jerry Bates plans and will finish at 91” span and 33/34lb
Colin's happy electric model, this design has been around with several companies making them, nice flying aircraft.
Jason's GIANT size model, J flies it really nicely. Looks a treat in the air. Yep I looked but no seatbelts so a midget pilot can’t fly it.... looks big
nuff though!
Classified advs for models.. that’s one way.... Next FunFly Sunday we could do something
a bit different....
A HANGAR CLEARANCE EVENT...
I’m planning to give it a start up by bringing a table to put outside with some of my dust
collectors for sale.. swap ... wotever! Greg wants to sell his recently acquired
nightly Radian .. $280 .. or acceptable offer I guess. My Original Tundra needs a new
home etc..
SO BRING ALONG ANY DUST GATHERERS...
LAST BUT NOT LEAST... Phil’s DG1000.. At 5.33m span and 14.5kg or 16kg or so with
batteries a pair of 6 cells I believe. It whistles pretty loudly when flying overhead! Looks majestic in the air.. take off with the raised
propeller is quite straight forward. Easier to stay above the fence on approach too, with a
tad of height adjustment from the motor.
