into existence as a co-operative industrial production centre limited.

• Dr. Chandrakala had pioneered this project.

• The results from the survey of 500 lower middle class people revealed that the family starved from poverty. The women were either subjected to abuse by their drunk husbands, some of them were widows & some were abandoned by family.

• Majority of the households had single source of income.

• The women were unable to handle needle work. So, they started cooking & supplying food to various places.
