NORTH HILLS HISTORIC AUTO CLUB MINUTES JULY 12, 2015
On July 12, 2015, President Mike Quinn called the meeting to order following the Pledge of Allegiance. President Quinn inquired if there were any corrections or additions to the minutes of the June 14, 2015 meeting. There were none. Mary Jo Phillips motioned to accept the minutes and Jennie Barker sec-onded. Mike Quinn read the treasurer’s report in Jack Swaney’s absence. Current cash balance is $6,864.03. Jennie Barker made a motion to accept the treasurer’s report and Ken Barker seconded. Wellness Report Phil Deakin is getting better each day at home. He welcomes phone calls. We welcomed Jennie and Ken Barker back to our meeting. Jennie thanked everyone for cards and well wishes. Old Business Grace Manor cruise is rescheduled for Saturday, August 15 at 1:00. The club picnic, organized by Jan and Bonnie Smith, will be held on Sunday, September 13 at His Kids School on Saxonburg Road. Directions will be in the newsletter. People with last names from A to M should bring a dessert; those with last names from N to Z should bring a side dish. Plan to arrive around noon; snacks will be available. We will eat promptly at 1:30. Mary Jo Phillips will run the bingo. If you wish to participate, bring silly/recycled items for prizes. Tables and chairs will be available inside; if you wish to sit outside, bring a lawn chair. New Business VA Aspinwall cruise is scheduled for September 19 from noon to 3 p.m. Try to attend. The vets really appreciate seeing our cars. Upcoming lunch tours - August 5 - Steve Illsley will sponsor a tour. Details will follow. August 19 - Clara Dresbach will sponsor a tour. Details will follow. Fall tour - October 4 Jan and Bonnie Smith visited the Meadowcroft Village archeological site in Avella, PA and found it to be interesting. A lot of walking is involved to see the attractions although there are resting places for those who do not wish to do the walking. The tour of the rock shelter takes 45 minutes and has 60 steps to ac-cess the shelter. Lunch is planned prior to the tour of Meadowcroft Village at the Breezy Heights Tavern. Sign-up sheets at the next two meetings. There being no further business to discuss, Mary Jo Phillips motioned to adjourn. Respectfully submitted, Diane Otto
