• NME is a relativity uni sex magazine, but could possibly seen as more targeted at males the genre is mainly associated with males, also the majority of the issues feature male artists.

• Also the audience will be fans of the genre of rock and have an interest for wider reading of the music, therefore being rock fans and enthusiasts.

• The age of the audience would start at students, as it is quite mature, to full/ part time workers because it would possibly not appeal to people of a high status because the magazine is relatively informal.

How they are targeted• The colour scheme of red, black and

white can be associated with the rock/ indie genre, therefore targeting the fans of the genre.

• The overall cover looks more mature than for example a pop magazine. It features more text than picture, for more educated people, who may be student or workers.
