North Moldavia, Romania - History’s returns North Moldavia is a region from Romania which is known for its natural landscapes and for the rich cultural history. It has its beginning since the twelfth century with its leaders Bogdan, Dragoș, Roman I, the Good Alexander and Stephen the Great. These leaders had made from Moldovia a flourishing and a prosper region. With a rich and interesting history Moldavia is now one of most beautiful region which is visited annually by thousands of visitors. The beauties of Moldavia are numerous and can be classified in: landscapes, churches and monasteries, fortresses and historical monuments and traditional houses. The landscapes are covered by natural green and painted with multicolored little flowers. The other treasures from Moldavia are the churches and monasteries. One of the best known monastery is Voroneț. It was built by Stephen the Great in 1488 and is unique in the world for its original color, called ‘Voroneț’s blue’. With a rich and interesting history Moldavia is now one of most beautiful region which is visited annually by thousands of visitors.

Other churches and monasteries are: Agapia, Putna and Sucevița monasteries and Arbore church.
