The Minutes of the 212th Meeting of the NRC held on February, 28th, 2013

The 212th

Meeting of the Northern Regional Committee (NRC), National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE)

was held on February, 28th, 2013 at NRC, NCTE, Jaipur.

The following were present:-

The Regional Director, NRC apprised the members of Northern Regional Committee about the provision of the NCTE

Act, Rules, Regulations and instructions issued from time to time.

With the permission Dr. Ram Kishor(Convener) presented the Agenda before the Committee. Item-wise decisions

1993, Regulations and Guidelines of NCTE published

from time to time were carefully considered by NRC in

detail and following observations was made:-

VT report states that the number of class

rooms is 04 only. The institute has proposed

to start B.A., B.Ed. (4 years) course with an

annual intake of 100 students. The institutealso proposes to give option to the students

to choose any two subject courses out of

total eight subject courses. This implies that

the Institution should have more classrooms

to ultimately accommodate 400 students

opting different combination of two subject

courses.

The building plan indicates that the size of

multipurpose hall 46-48 sq. Mts only the

building plan does not mention any

room/rooms for teachers faculty members.

The institute has submitted several saleinvoices indicating that plenty of Science

Laboratory material has been purchased for

a course of B.A, B.Ed. the utility of this

material is to be justified.

The institute does not have sufficient

infrastructural facility to start B.A., B.Ed. (4

years) Course.

Hence, NRC decided that Show Cause Notice

under section 14/15 (3) (b) of NCTE Act, 1993 be

issued to the Institution on the above point and

direct the Institution to submit the reply as per

the provisions of NCTE Act, 1993 Rules &

Regulations within 21 days from the date of issue

of Show Cause Notice
