NOTES FROM THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS WINDCREST EAST HOA BOD MEETING

NOVEMBER 18, 2011

The meeting was called to order by Felicia Ayoub at 2:00 P.M.

The attendees were Felicia Ayoub, Walter Blanck, Barbara Caramore, Linda Nemeth, Jack Tyniec and Vince Occipinti. The Minutes of the meeting of October 18, 2011 were reviewed, Motion made by Linda and seconded by Jack to accept the Minutes; all in favor, Motion approved. Financial Report Jack reported that the October 2011 checks totaled $42,251.56 . Year to date expenses are $432,882 and YTD income is $412,952 with a variance of $19,930. We are still recovering from the additional expenses incurred earlier in the year (described in the May Breeze) but expect that income and expenses will be close to balance by the end of the year. November checks issued through November 22, 2011 totaled $42,251.56. Old Business Jack reported that all the required information has been entered into the database for the operation of the entrance gates. The owner at (address) is still waiting for an inspection and evaluation of the retaining wall on the property by a representative of Greenview Properties. Steve from Lawn Elements has promised to provide residents with information regarding scheduling of landscape maintenance. Two estimates have been received for repair of the Clubhouse front walkway. The information regarding changes and additions to the new phone book has been forwarded to the printer. Information from one resident was received too late for inclusion. New directories will be available at the Annual Meeting. Linda continues to gather information regarding street lighting with respect to energy efficiency.

Shelving has been installed in the Exercise Room to accommodate the Cablevision boxes, reducing wire clutter and eliminating the need for a table. A new pool cover, instead of a repaired one, has been installed on the pool and the pool has been winterized. Repairs to the pool will be done in the spring of 2012. Norsic completed cleaning of the single septic systems in early November. New Business We have been advised by the Department of Health that they have issued new regulations regarding the upgrade of the pool’s salt generator system. This will be addressed in the spring of 2012. After reviewing the two estimates received for repair of the Clubhouse front walkway, the BOD has decided to request additional estimates. A decision was made by the BOD that no one is to borrow any articles from the Clubhouse including chairs, tables, paper products, etc. This decision is in effect immediately. The BOD reviewed past and present expenses as well as estimates submitted for work to be done in 2012, which are all taken into consideration as the budget for 2012 is prepared. The Agenda for the Annual Meeting to be held on December 15, 2011 was reviewed. The meeting was adjourned at 4:15 P.M.

FYI For all of you walkers, runners, strollers and those who like to mosey, I measured the distances around Windcrest with a measuring wheel. They are: - around the pond .4 miles - around Golden Spruce Dr. 1.12 miles these are accurate distances if you are interested in the distance you walk. Deacon Peter Schultz The Web address for Windcrest East is www.windcresteastli.com. The Breeze is published on this site, as well other information for all homeowners. The e-mail address for The Breeze is: [email protected]. All community activities, notices and other information to be added to The Breeze or the calendar must be submitted in writing, not later than the 25th of the month.

CLOTHING NEEDED When you clean out your closets this fall, if you have any clean, usable clothing you no longer want, call Joe Rose at 591-1642. Calverton / Baiting Hollow Civic Association meets the 2nd Wednesday of each month, at 7:30pm in the Riley Avenue School cafeteria. Come down and support your community. AND FINALLY… With the New Year fast approaching, why not consider joining the Social Committee? There is only one meeting a month for about an hour. Come and meet the people who work so hard to plan and implement the activities we all look forward to having. If you don’t want to join, but have an idea for an event or trip, stop in at a meeting on the third Thursday of the month, or send an e-mail to [email protected]. Or drop a signed note off in the Breeze mailbox in the Clubhouse. This is your community. We need some new ideas and help. Thanks.
