Notes from the Pastor
This weekend we celebrate the 100th Anniversary of our present church building. Our church has been the “holy place” to celebrate the sacraments with God’s holy people. We have gathered to celebrate Sunday and daily Eucharist, to baptize, to confirm, to forgive, to anoint, to unite couples in marriage and pray for our deceased, to hear missions, to celebrate graduations, to celebrate anniversaries, to celebrate mass with newly ordained (Fr. Black), etc.
Priests and sisters have come and gone but the community of St. James continues to grow in faith, hope and love. Let us pray that the next 100 years be filled with God’s grace and the spiritual leadership of our church continue to flourish in God’s name.
I thank all the organizations that have helped in the prepa-ration of this event. Our anniversary Mass will be this Sunday at 4PM with a reception to follow at the K.C. Hall.
** Our thanks to Fr. Ken Hannon for his teaching the deeper
meaning on the celebration of the Triduum (Holy Thursday,
Good Friday, and Easter Vigil). My thanks to Fr. Greg and the
Liturgy Committee for preparing the dive office for the mis-
sion.
** Single Parents: If there is any interested single parent
who would like to meet in support of one another, please con-
tact me at the office, at 830-379-1796 or email me at
** Archbishop’s Appeal: To date we have collected
$17,523 for our goal of $31, 881 (or 54% of our goal). Please
continue to send in your contributions to help support the
work of the church in the Archdiocese. I thank you for your
generosity.

O Lord of the harvest, your Word finds a home in our hearts, calls us to community, and invites us to generous service of the human family.
