Returning Officer/General Manager
At the Board Meeting conducted 31 October 2016
the Board made the hard decision that towels will no
longer be supplied free of charge to members. This
decision was not taken lightly and has been discussed
at several Board Meetings.
Costs to the Club increase every year so we’re always
challenging what we do and this is the case here. So
far this year our Laundry has added a freight fee per
towel on top of our normal laundry fee as well as a
further increase notified to us in October. The total
payable to launder 1 towel has increased this year by
31.5%.
This change comes into effect as of 1 December. We
ask that you now bring your own towel. If you would
like a shower and do not bring a towel, they will be
available behind the bar for the cost of $2.
For Major Events, towels will be supplied Free of
Charge to all.
We thank you for understanding and we will continue
to look at ways to restrict costs and improve the Club.
FROM THE BIG CHAIR and a little PR
It is pleasing to note that our membership continues to grow and at print we currently have
446 members on our data base.
We will extend the husband/wife/partner and bring a friend membership drive and introduce
a 25% discount for new members to compete with our opposition.
I would like to acknowledge the great efforts of Shelley and Darren Chatley and Lynise and
Ross O’Dowd in making Sunday mixed golf the place to be and such a huge success.
A special thanks to Gary Hywood for sanding and to Paul Campaner for polishing the floor, it
has come up fantastic- well done guys.
As this is the last newsletter for 2016 I would like to thank all our volunteers for their work
through-out the year and wish all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
I hope to see many of you at the A.G.M. on Wednesday 14th December
WEDNESDAY WONDERS
The season is drawing to a close with our AGM to be held on Wednesday 23rd November, fol-
lowed by 14 holes of golf and presentation of the season trophies. Several committee positions
are still vacant and it would be great if some of you could volunteer. We have a great club it is
because of the volunteers who do a good job.
I would like to sincerely thank all the ladies who have donated in any way over the year – you are
all so very generous.
Our Crescent Conveyancing Invitation Day was held on 14th October. A great day was had with
76 ladies participating. Great to have a new sponsor and they have agreed to carry on next year.

was won by Lyn Kowal and Glenice Rogers won the Vice Patroness’s trophy.

to Di Getley for her help in running the sweeps, also to Val Sawyer who made a cake for a raffle.

New Sponsorship Arrangement
It is with pleasure that I let you all know that the Capel Golf
Club is now a sponsor of the Dalyellup Beach Cricket Club.
We continue to look at ways to promote the Club, espe-
cially within our local community and this certainly ticks
that box. We wish the DBCC all the best for the remainder
of the season.
This extends on our sponsorships of the Dalyellup Dockers
Junior Football Club and the Dalyellup Dinosaurs AFL Mas-
ters.
