Dear Writer,It’s taken us a while to put this programme together (and it’s still not finished – watch out

for the spring edition, out in December 2015, which will include more workshops andmasterclasses taking place next spring and summer). We’ve brought together the best writersand teachers we could find to lead workshops which will challenge and provoke you to takeyour writing even further, and possibly even to try new directions, exploring new territory.

You’ll notice the programme is text-heavy. What can I say... we’re writers, not visual artists...Seriously though, we wanted to give you as much information as possible. In most cases thereis even more information for each class on our website. If you’re not sure whether a class isright for you, get in touch, and we’ll do our best to help. One thing I will say is that all ourclasses are aimed at intermediate to advanced level writers, unless it specifically states theyare for beginners. If you’re looking for a more basic class, I recommend our friends at WritingSchool East Midlands, who run excellent workshops and courses at beginner to intermediatelevel in Nottingham, Leicester and Derby (www.writingeastmidlands.co.uk).

You might also notice that the listings are not in date order. I decided to group by themeinstead, but there is a handy colour-coded chronological listing on the back of the brochure.

And I’m going to say the C-word. Yes, Christmas. If you’re desperate to book on one of theclasses but are a bit short of cash (like many writers), why not ask someone to buy you a placefor a Christmas gift? Or maybe you’re not sure what to give a writer friend... look no furtherthan our great range of workshops.

Happy writing!

General InformationAll classes are at Nottingham Writers’ Studio. The Studio is fully accessible and has facilities formaking hot drinks. Lunch is not provided for one-day workshops unless otherwise stated.Bookings can be made on our website via PayPal (you don’t need a PayPal account), by post orin person by cheque (payable to Nottingham Writers’ Studio), or in person by cash.We reserve the right to cancel or postpone any course or workshop that does not reachbreak-even bookings a week in advance of the start date.
