LEADERSHIP:

Rock ‘n Roll Leadership: How to Succeed in Managing Your Team Some of rock’s most famous musicians were also great leaders. Keeping a band on the road and navigating the treacherous terrain of the music industry requires vision and smart management. Successful rock ‘n’ rollers treat their act as a business, and businesses can learn from them as well. In researching her new book, Rock ‘n’ Roll Woman: The 50 Fiercest Female Rockers, author, journalist, and NPR commentator Meredith Ochs found that many artists who’ve outlived, outsold, and outlasted their peers developed leadership skills that lead them to success in highly competitive fields. This fun presentation explores the leadership styles of famous women musicians, how they met challenges, how they managed creative people, and how their experience is relevant to you and your business. Examine Rock ‘n’ Roll Leadership archetypes and ask then questions: Which one sounds like you? Is there one that might work better for you? Then learn how to get the most from creative employees, remain relevant, and tap into your inner rock star in the process.

Presenter: Meredith Ochs, author, journalist, NPR commentator, and longtime talk show host on Sirius XM’s Road Dog Trucking channel

“The content, skill-building and best practices are amazing. The peer networking and

access to resources is incredible.”
