Morning Prayer or Lauds is one of the official prayers of the church from The Liturgy of the Hours which is a daylong cycle.
Holy Child has a small, dedicated group who assemble daily at 8:30 a.m. to pray this “hour” together. It lasts approximately 20 minutes and has the added benefit of recollecting the mind before mass at 9.
Daily mass goers are encouraged to experience this prayer liturgy before the Eucharistic liturgy. Others who wish only to engage in this session of prayer are welcomed to do so.

Please consider committing to one of the urgent or needed hours below. Ask for God’s guidance and see where he leads you.
There are also over 40 “needed” hours that have only one adorer, but please know that you can sign up for any hour. We welcome everyone to be an adorer, your presence before the Blessed Sacrament makes you just that!
If you are able to commit to an hour, please contact Joan Rochford at (718) 541-9532.

The Rosary Ministry is in need of Rosary Leaders to lead the congregation in the Sunday Pre-Mass Rosary. If you can offer your assistance, please contact Rosaria Incantalupo at 718-948-0128.
Do not hesitate or be afraid to come forward, but do as Mary did and give your “yes”. Remember, Mary was a teenaged girl when she gave her YES, and Joseph was many years her senior when he too gave his yes. Let Mary speak to your heart.
