How we met: We always used to hang out in high school. Mark messaged me on Facebook one day and ever since we have been inseparable.
The proposal: Mark planned a trip to Cabo, Mexico. He proposed in front of everyone at the resort while we were outside by the pool. It was so beautiful.
Favorite detail: Bride: Giving Mark a gift before the ceremony while we were getting ready. I included a note also. Groom: The whole wedding was unique, from exchanging gifts to having a signature shot.
Favorite moment: Bride: Getting to have one last dance as husband and wife before our send off. Groom: Seeing Shelbey walking down the aisle. When I heard her song come on I got choked up, then seeing her I lost it all.
Biggest challenge: Bride: Staying clear from the guys and Mark before the ceremony. It was very hard not to go downstairs and give him a hug and kiss before. Groom: Trying not to mess up the vows. I was so nervous the whole time and almost couldn't hear everything.
Funniest moment: Bride: When I "iced" Mark with a Smirnoff during the garter toss. Groom: Probably when I got "iced" by Shelbey during the garter toss.
If you could do one thing over: Bride: Nothing. Everything went so perfect and it was everything I had ever dreamed of. Groom: Get a videographer.
One piece of advice: Bride: No matter what, kiss and hug every night. Make up if y'all are fighting and never go to bed mad at one another. Groom: Don't ever go to bed mad at each other.
What marriage means to you: Bride: Marriage is a symbol of a relationship between two people who truly love one another and have compassion for each other. This is what I have and will always have for Mark. Groom: Because I love Shelbey, the day I asked her to be my girlfriend was the day I knew I wanted her in my life forever.
How to make your spouse happy: Bride: Listen, even when they are venting. Always talk things out. Groom: She's always right.
What you look forward to most: Bride: Growing a family and being able to grow old with my best friend. Groom: I can't wait to have a family and do the big things in life: build a house, raise kids, etc.
More advice for couples: Bride: Always talk things out. Fighting is the one thing we hardly ever do because we always talk things over if we have a disagreement. Groom: Listen to her and always compromise on things you can't agree on.
