OFFICIAL PROGRAMNovember 19 to 22, 2018Québec City Convention Center
A Word from the Minister of Energy and
Natural Resources
It is with great pride that I welcome you to the 2018 edition of Québec Mines + Énergie.
The Department has been organizing this key mining industry event for more than 35 years, and as this year’s program clearly shows, innovation and initiative still have their place. The newly-added Energy section is an excellent example of this. Throughout the four days of the event, you will have plenty of opportunities to gain new knowledge, rub shoulders with experts from Québec and grasp the full extent of the know-how available in your respective areas of activity.
Between the conferences, workshops and networking activities, specialists in mine and energy development will have the chance to share what they know as they explore new business possibilities. The Discovery section of the Congress also offers a host of free and fascinating activities for young people and the general public.
Let us celebrate mining and energy, and ensure that Québec Mines + Énergie 2018 is a resounding success.
I look forward to meeting you, and hope you enjoy the Congress!Jonatan Julien Minister of Energy
and Natural ResourcesMinister Responsible
for the Côte-Nord Region
