Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,NO Advent Reconciliation Service We are advised to not have a Communal Reconciliation service this year for a variety of Reasons. We typically have one during Advent and one during Lent. While I am still holding out for the possibility of a Lenten gathering, most certainly we need to be prudent this coming Advent. Therefore, don’t wait until the last moment! Take advantage of the Sacrament offered on Tuesdays at 6:30pm and Saturdays at 4:15pm at St. Charles Borromeo or on Sundays before Mass at Holy Redeemer at 7:30am. Thank you for opening your heart to the mercy of Jesus! Festival of Lessons and Carols LIVE-Streamed The Festival of Lessons and Carols is a service of Scripture and song that dates to the late 19th century. In this service, we listen to nine Scripture lessons which recount the Fall, the promise of a Messiah, the Incarnation, and the Great Commission to preach the Good News. Each lesson is followed by a carol or other song that reflects on the lesson’s message and a brief prayer. We will be presenting this program on behalf of all of us at Redeemer Saints for a prayerful evening online. Please mark your calendars and join us on Sunday, November 29th at 7:00pm. You may join us on our Facebook page (for those already familiar with this mode) or you may join us on our website to be directed to the page. You do not have to be a member or sign-up for Facebook. Instructions will be on our website. Please share the word! ZOOM Advent Retreat At the end of this month we begin the season of Advent. What does Advent mean to you? As life gets busier, louder and more insistent, it becomes increasingly important that we find ways to stop and breathe deeply. During Advent, we are going to use some time to talk about how we can simplify our holidays and focus on what the season is truly about. Come share your joys and frustrations about this special season and let’s share ideas together for creating an Advent that is perhaps slightly less hectic and hopefully more holy. Sessions will be held on Thursdays at 7pm on December 3, 10 and 17. Sessions will only be held online. Please sign-up by calling the office or emailing [email protected] We will be doing a ZOOM Session to allow back and forth participation. If you are not familiar with ZOOM, we will provide a Youtube Tutorial video so you can simply join us.

    God Loves you! -Fr. Tim

New Ministry in EyotaFor some time clergy leaders have had a vision of a new way to serve the people of the Eyota area. This vision would put the Eyota Food Pantry in the same building with a thrift store, gathering area and coffee shop. This vision now has a chance to become a reality, but we need your help! Join us for an informational meeting on Monday, November 16th at 6:30 p.m. at Peace Lutheran Church. There are no strings attached, but if you would like more information about this and have an interest in joining the mission, please attend the meeting. If you do not wish to be there in person, there will be a Zoom option.

ALPHAAre you interested in knowing more about the Christian way of life? Follow your heart and join us on the journey. If you are merely curious about what we believe, please feel free to come to our Alpha Sessions – a starting point for those that would like to know more about the Church and the journey we live with Christ. All are welcome. Our next Alpha Session is Thursday, December 3rd at 6:30pm at St. Charles Borromeo. An open heart is the only cost.

Family Formation (1st – 6th)After the Ascension when Jesus returned to heaven, He still made a way to remain with us as our Teacher until the end of time. Jesus remains with us in a spiritual way, rather than a physical body. This week, our lessons are based on the Spiritual Works of Mercy. These works of mercy are done on a regular basis, sometimes we don’t realize we are doing them. The Purple booklet will be needed for this week’s lesson. You will need to prepare part of the lesson ahead of time as you will be playing “Mercy BINGO” as part of the session. Again, if you have any questions, do not hesitate to contact us in the office.

7th-10th Faith FormationBecause of the early printing of this bulletin, there is not information that was available for print. We will be sharing this information through an email form the parish office. Thank you for your understanding. Our bulletin is printed near Milwaukee, WI and is shipped prior to the weekend Mass, whenever we have a holiday approaching (in this case Thanksgiving) the deadline for material and for printing is incredibly early – which doesn’t allow us to appropriate and timely share information. Thank you for watching your email.

Sweet Treat SaleCatholic Daughters Annual Sweet Treat Fundraiser is still going on as planned with some changes this year using Covid precautions. This year we will be posting a list of items you can order treats from by Saturday, December 5th. We will then be putting our baking elves to work and have the treats ready for pickup on Saturday, December 12th from 8:30am to 10:30 am at St. Charles Borromeo. We will even meet you at your car with your gift box of goodies.

Everyone is invited to order and buy their needed holiday treats! Each CDA member is encouraged to participate by donating cookies, candies or any holiday treat. Watch the bulletin for more details coming soon!
