December is the month our church
provides the birthday party for The Oaks, our Lu‐
theran Home in Pleasant Gap.
As usual, we need prizes (i.e. jewelry, tooth brush‐

Park Forest Preschool Cra Kits
Trinity has a tradi on of providing cra kits for the children par cipa ng in the Park Forest Preschool
program. This year there are 34 children.
There is a Christmas Tree in the Narthex with name tags. Please select a
name tag to provide a kit.
Kits should contain:
Blunt Scissors, Construc on Paper, Crayons, Glue S ck,
Scotch Tape, Wri ng Tablet
The kit needs to be wrapped with the name tag a ached and returned by December 9th
NOTE: Ignore the size informa on on the tags.
Toys for Tots and Holiday Food Drive Challenge
5 WEEKS ‐ Nov. 18 ‐ Dec 16th
We are looking to collect 1000 non‐perishable food items
for the food bank. ITEMS NEEDED:
Cooking oil, baking flour, canned fruits & vegetables, soup,
canned meats (low sodium & low fat), pasta & sauces, mac &
cheese, stuffing & potato mixes, condiments, mayonnaise,
peanut bu er, jelly, cake & brownie mixes, pudding, sugar free
Jello & Gluten Free items, coffee, juice, canned milk, cereal,
bo led water, diabe c approved foods, crackers, pretzels,
pet food, cleaning products, bath & hand soaps, toothpaste,
toothbrushes, dish detergent, laundry detergent, paper
supplies, money or gi cards.

HOLIDAY CONCERT
There will be a concert by James Rearick and Michelle McMullen of seasonal music at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church Pine Grove Mills, Pa on December 2, 2018 at 3:00 pm. All are invited.
The Allegheny Synod 40,000 Can Challenge
Advent to Super Bowl Sunday December 2 –February 3
Your donation of non-perishable food items to the 40,000 “Can” Challenge will benefit local food banks and service agencies who serve the people in your
community
To participate, record how many non-perishable items are collected and call the office at 814-942-1042
Results will be publicized through the Allegheny Synod Facebook page, the Lutheran Letter, and e-mails to
congregations.
In conjunc on with the TOYS FOR TOTS & FOOD BANK CHALLENGE ‐ we can par cipate in this
Allegheny Synod Challenge as well. Totals for our congrega on will be reported to the Synod .
