Smt. Nara Brahmani, Trustee NTR Trust, distributing free medicines at a Medical camp
HIGHLIGHTS
1. NTR Trust is proud to have signed an MoU with Indian Institute of Chemical Technology (IICT) one of
the premier CSIR institutions in India. IICT and NTR Trust will collaborate to develop, popularize and
scale-up technologies to make CSIR-IICT research work reach the larger public, especially in rural
areas.
2. NTR Trust and IFFCO TOKIO General Insurance signed an MoU. IFFCO TOKIO under its CSR Initiative
will support NTR Trust to establish NTR Sujala Cluster Plant (a large scale community safe drinking
water project) in Chilakaluripet Mandal, Guntur District, Andhra Pradesh. This plant will provide safe
drinking water access 79,000 rural population. Mr. T. Vishnu Vardhan, CEO of NTR Trust and Vice
President, Sri Ramesh Kumar signed the MoU in the presence of Sri Warendra Sinha, Managing
Director & CEO, IFFCO TOKIO.
3. NTR Trust was invited by FACEBOOK to be part of a round-table on Blood Banks. CEO Mr. T. Vishnu
Vardhan, Mr. Rahmanuddin Shaik & Mr. Raju Madana took part in the round-table and gave inputs on
how Facebook could be an efficient platform to promote volunteer blood donation and contribute to
providing sustainable access to safe blood.

4. NTR Trust signed an MoU with Centre for Internet and Society, Bengaluru towards collaboratively
working to bring and strengthen Indian & English language content in the digital domains.
5. NTR Sujala Cluster Remote Dispensation Units (RDUs) in CRDA region were launched by Shri Shravan
Kumar, MLA along with local leaders, senior citizens & the villagers at Harishchandrapuram,
Ananthavaram, Vaddamanu, Borupalem, Dondapadu, Tallayapalem, Inavolu, Pedda Parimi,
Shakamuru & Nekkallu. These RDUs will provide safe drinking water at Rs.2/-20 liters round the clock.
6. Mr. Y. Mohan Rao, COO-Education of NTR Trust, donated Rs. 1 lakh to educate an Orphan Child -
Sravani at NTR Junior College, Gandipet.
7. 71st Indian Independence Day celebrations were held in a pompous way at NTR Trust Head Office,
Hyderabad, NTR Model Schools in Gandipet in Hyd, Challapalli in Krishna dist. & Geesugonda in
Warangal dist.
EDUCATION

Key Activities:
1. A half day workshop at school level on “ Easy ways to learn Mathematics” was conducted at NTR
Model School, Gandipet by Mr. P. Vikram Kumar - M.S (Signal Processing) IIT, Chennai. The workshop
enabled the students to think logically. Students were attentive and quick in grasping the various
techniques. This workshop enabled the students to reason in different levels. All the students showed
their earnest interest for a new style of learning. It is sincerely believed that the outcome of this
workshop would be felt by teachers during their classroom transactions by transforming their
enthusiasm into the realization of goals of education.

NTR Model School Students proudly carry our National Flag Measles-Rubella vaccination camp at NTR Model School
2. NTR Trust celebrated 71st Independence day of India at NTR Model Schools in Gandipet - Hyderabad,
Challapalli - Krishna District & Geesugonda - Warangal. At NTR Model Schools, teachers revered the
importance of the Independence Day and supreme sacrifice by freedom fighters and urged the
students to become responsible citizens and prepare themselves to serve the Nation.
3. Mr. Krieator - Personality Development Mentor & Author of the book “Nenu” addressed the students
of NTR Model School, Challapalli. The topic was “ The need of Education and its importance, to the
connectivity of every individual”. He also mentioned about the role of teachers and parents with the
students and vice versa.
4. Measles-Rubella vaccination camp was organized at NTR Model School, Challapalli. A team comprising
of 2 doctors and 7 nurses from Government Hospital administered the vaccinations. 300 children
were vaccinated. The objective of this camp was to build up immunity of children against measles and
congenital rubella syndrome.

HEALTH
Key Activities:
1. NTR Trust was invited by FACEBOOK to be part of a round-table discussion on Blood Banks. CEO Mr. T.
Vishnu Vardhan, Mr. Rahmanuddin Shaik & Mr. Raju Madana took part in the round-table and gave
inputs on how Facebook could be an efficient platform to promote volunteer blood donation and
contribute to providing sustainable access to safe blood. CEO Mr. T. Vishnu Vardhan briefed the
Facebook Partnerships Team on how the Blood Banks function and about various myths associated
with Blood Donation in India. He also gave a detailed presentation on how NTR Trust Blood Banks are
functioning 24/7 in service of public and how they are able to get 100% voluntary blood donations. He
made a presentation on how simple features or tools on Facebook like “like button”, “status
messages”, “enrolling as donor”, “blood donation event”, etc. can result in effective blood donor
creation recognition and subsequently donor retention. The Facebook Product development team
visiting from USA expressed keen interest in partnering with NTR Trust Blood Banks to develop, test
and publish tools that would help make the volunteer blood donation seamless and transparent.
2. During July and Aug 2017, NTR Trust organized free Medical Camps across Andhra Pradesh and
Telangana, wherein people were given free health checkup and medicines. These Healthcare camps
aim at promoting health-seeking behaviour in the long term and these camps majorly work on
building awareness regarding common ailments, nutrition, hygiene and sanitation. These camps
provide comprehensive health services free of cost.
3. NTR Trust Blood Banks have organized numerous Volunteer Blood Donation Camps across the state of
Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. Live stock status of availability of Blood Units at NTR Trust Blood
Banks in Hyderabad, Guntur and Visakhapatnam are published daily on Twitter through our official

SUJALA
Key Activities:
CEO NTR Trust exchanging MoU with IFFCO TOKIO Vice-President Sri. Ramesh Kumar Sahajwani in the presence of Sri.
Warendra Sinha, MD & CEO of IFFCO TOKIO General Insurance Company Ltd.
1. NTR Trust signed an MoU with IFFCO TOKIO General Insurance to establish Large Scale Community
Safe Drinking Water Project at Chilakaluripet Mandal, Guntur District, Andhra Pradesh. IFFCO TOKIO
General Insurance have come forward to support the cause as part of their CSR Initiative. The
establishment of this project will benefit 79,000 population on day to day basis. This project will
become a boon for all these beneficiaries in safe guarding their health against all water borne
diseases. IFFCO TOKIO Vice President, Sri Ramesh Kumar Sahajwani and NTR Trust CEO, Mr.T.Vishnu
Vardhan have signed MoU on 22 Aug, 2017 in presence of Sri Warendra Sinha, Managing Director &
CEO, IFFCO TOKIO General Insurance Company Limited.
2. NTR Trust’s NTR Sujala potable water dispensing Units in CRDA region were launched by Shri Shravan
Kumar, MLA. Local leaders, senior citizens & the villagers at Harishchandrapuram, Ananthavaram,
Vaddamanu, Borupalem, Dondapadu, Tallayapalem, Inavolu, Pedda Parimi, Shakamuru &

Sujala Project covers 29 villages and 1.5 lakh people in the capital region of Amaravathi in Andhra
Pradesh.

3. NTR Trust to partner with CSIR-IICT to bring out their research to masses. NTR Trust team lead by Mr.
T.Vishnu Vardhan, CEO of NTR Trust met Mr. Srivari Chandrasekhar, Director IICT, and his team of
senior scientists at IICT institute in Hyderabad. This meeting was to discuss on the possibilities of both
parties to work towards possible collaboration on water technologies for the benefit of society at
large. NTR Trust team explained their unique Sujala Cluster Model of safe drinking water to the
members of IICT team and in turn learnt about the technologies and research carried out by IICT
team. Scientists at IICT appreciated the way NTR Trust is providing safe drinking water to 3 lakh
people at Rs.2/- for 20 litres. It was agreed in-principle to enter into an MoU with the objective of NTR
Trust working as a catalyst to make the IICT research technologies to reach larger public.

EMPOWERMENT AND LIVELIHOODS Key Activities:
1. Freedom Refined Sunflower Oil in association with NTR Trust conducted a “Freedom Self-
Employment Cookery Workshop”. This workshop will be free of cost for a duration of 6 weeks and the
participants will be supported in setting up their own venture post the course completion. Mr. P.
Chandra Shekar Reddy, Vice President - Sales & Marketing, Freedom Refined Sunflower Oil & Mr.
T.Vishnu Vardhan, CEO of NTR Trust had participated in the press meet. NTR Trust thanked Freedom
Sunflower Oil and said “ It is our mission to help and equip the people from all strata of the society to
be self- reliant and be capable of providing employment to others”. Over the next one year, “Freedom

Self-Employment Cookery Workshop is planned at different districts across the twin states of Andhra
Pradesh & Telangana.
2. First Batch of Assistant Cook Programme of NTR Trust was successfully completed. Course Completion
Certificates were distributed to the candidates who successfully completed 6 weeks of free training by
NTR Trust under its Entrepreneurship Development Program (EDP). Mr. T. Vishnu Vardhan, CEO of
NTR Trust addressed the aspiring food entrepreneurs about the opportunities in Catering Retail
Marketing, Food and Beverage Industries. This course is designed to help participants with a great
foundation in Breakfast menu, Bakery items, Chinese Food, Indian Meal & Sweets preparation,
Marketing food products and setting up their own business. We focus more on hands - on training in
our state-of-art Kitchen. Chef Ramana - an internationally experienced trainer,has designed the
Assistant Cook Course as a perfect introduction where participants will learn, taste and be creative
with food.

4. NTR Trust conducted its first training for 16 Driver Partners in partnership with APSKWDCL(Andhra
Pradesh State Kapu Welfare and Development Corporation Limited) & OLA at Vijayawada. APSKWDCL
Chairman, Mr. Ramanujaya and Chairman of Mangalagiri Municipality, Mr. Ganji Chiranjeevi
addressed driver partners on various schemes of APSKWDCL. Later they distributed certificates to the
trainees. Mr. Ramanujaya called out for the need for drivers in the country and acknowledged NTR
Trust and OLA’s efforts in providing employment and entrepreneurship opportunities to aspiring
driver partners. Mr. Sripadaram - Head ,EDP (Entrepreneurship Development Program), along with his
team conducted 5 days of exclusive training to Driver Partners focusing mainly on entrepreneurial
concepts of Goal Setting and Goal Stretching, ownership, understanding financial management and
effective customer relationship.

Key Activities:
1. NTR Trust co-organized Telugu Wikisource Workshop in association with Centre for Internet and
Society’s Access to Knowledge programme. The workshop, held at NTR Trust, was attended by both
seasoned Wikipedians & Wikisourcerers and new entrants to wikisource. The process of acquiring
copyright lapsed/free-licensed books, scanning them, creating index pages, typing text, proofreading,
approving and creation of e-publishing was discussed with hands-on activities. A special session on
publishing of books was taken up by Mr. Arjun Rao remotely from Bangalore through skype. NTR Trust
is working towards catalyzing Telugu Digital Corpus Creation online through our “Telugu Koti Maatla
Kota”.

1. Mr. Srinivas Murthy conducted a session on “Bird’s eye view of NLP” .
He is a new age Personal Excellence Guru who effectively blends
Neuro - Linguistic Programming (NLP) with spirituality and other
Traditional Eastern Systems in his interventions. He mentioned that,
NLP is a simple skillful method for studying what goes on inside a
person. NLP is about how the brain works, how people think, feel,
learn motivate themselves, interact with others, make choices and
achieve realistic goals.
2. NTR Trust celebrated the 71st Independence Day of India with a lot of
fervor and saluted our Indian Flag with pride. NTR Trust CEO, Mr. T. Vishnu Vardhan hoisted flag.
