According to a Dillon, Montana hunter, ederal ocialsplaced no trespassing signs up at a wildlie reuge inSouthwest Montana, and then personally blocked the bowhunter rom accessing SAE lands.

Heres the note rom Dillons Don Copple:Recently, I planned a bow hunt in the Southern reaches o

Beaverhead County. I planned out my hike on a trail on publicland, to access state lands behind posted private property. Tisportion o the Red Rocks Reuge is typically open or huntingbig game. Shortly aer suiting up, with bow in hand, andanticipation o a good hunt, I was conronted by the reugemanager in his private rig, and inormed the reuge was closed.

I said that I knew the Government was shut down, so expectedacilities such as campgrounds, oces and outhouses to belocked. I proceeded to let him know I was just going to walk upthe trail to access State lands. He said, you cant, didnt you seethe sign, the reuge is closed due to the Government shutdown. Its kind o hard to see a sign while it is still dark, but told him Iwould look at it. I asked the question, are you serious? He saidhe was, and told me I couldnt park in this spot on the Countyroad either, the parking spot is about 500 yards back on theroad rom the trailhead, but I cant hike it anyway, because itis closed. Again, I said I just want to get to the State land, hesaid, I know, its hard. Hard isnt the word, impossible is morelike it, as this is the only public access. I understand closingland access due to public saety, or national security, but thisis a blatant misuse o government power. o deny access toour public lands is ludicrous, and I think illegal. I dont blame

the Republicans or this land shutdown, or the shutdowno our national monuments. Te administrators work orthe Presidential Cabinet. Maybe these eld managers areollowing the direction o the particular agency administrator, but they are treating this public land as i it is their privatelyowned land. My Foreathers did not ght and give up theirlives so the king could keep his peasants o his lands. TeGovernment does not own these lands, they have agencies thathave jurisdictional management responsibilities. Te US Fishand Wildlie Service does not provide saety services in regardto this particular trail, unlike the National Parks. I I injuredmysel, the Search & Rescue and County Sheri would havethe responsibility to locate me and rescue me.

Remember this next all. Vote to keep our country ree. Voteto keep these public lands in the ownership o the People.

    Blatant misuse o government power

While there was a dealcooking this morning betweenSenate Majority Leader HarryReid (D-Nev.) and MinorityLeader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) to reopen the governmentand avoid a potential deaulton the debt by days end, whatwould happen i the deal(that does virtually nothing toObamacare) were to go south?

Treatening a deault thatwould have reverberationsaround the world, theUnited States is in dangero becoming the rst majorWestern country to deault on

its debts since Nazi Germanyceased payments in 1933.

Without approval romCongress or the authority toincrease emergency borrowing, the reasury says the U.S. willrun out o money to pay itsdebts on October 17. PresidentBarack Obama would join thethen-newly installed chancellorAdol Hitler as the man wholed the country when it ailed tomake payments.

    Tese are generallycatastrophic economic events,

How big a deal is it?
