Talented, Beautiful

and Flying High Briana has been flying airplanes since she was 10 years

old. She caught the flight bug when she went on a trip

with her mother who is a former Delta Airlines Flight

Attendant. She returned home telling her mother she

wanted to be a pilot. Her mother arranged a discovery

flight and Briana has been flying high ever since!

Briana Nicole also competes in beauty pageants. She partici-

pated in Beauty and Beau for 3 years at Northeast Rankin High

School. She won both the Local and State of Mississippi Elks

Beauty and Talent Pageants in 2011. She competed in Cincin-

nati, Ohio for the National title and placed First Runner Up.

Ms. Sturgis is also gifted academically. She received a Full Music

Scholarship from Delta State University in 2011.

She is an active member of New Hope Baptist Church under the

leadership of Pastor Jerry Young. Briana is the daughter of Mr.

Angus Sturgis and Mrs. Jennie Sturgis.

At Delta State University she is in the Marching Band and the Wind Ensemble. Briana is majoring in Aviation and Music. Her aspiration is to be a Commercial Airline Pilot and ultimately become a Captain for a major airline.

Jennie Sturgis

Mrs. Sturgis was flying the friendly skies when she received her calling to establish Noah’s Ark. She was a flight attendant for Delta Airlines for 22 years and she also served as a reservation agent for Delta for 6 years. However, her preparation to be an educator started before that. After receiv-ing her college degree from Tougaloo Col-lege, she received a Master’s Degree in Ed-ucation. It wasn’t until her “Devine calling” did she combine her gift for serving the

needs of others with her expertise in Education to open Noah’s Ark, Inc.

Noah’s Ark is also referred to as the “Little McWillie” School. Its learning centers are designed the same way as McWillie Elemen-tary. In fact her students are on a fast track to excel at McWillie, Spann, Casey and Boyd Elementary Schools.

Noah’s Ark has specialty programs such as: Spanish, Computer Tots, Exercise Classes, CPR and First Aid Certification, Exploratory Field Trips, and Exercise Classes. Noah’s Ark has educated, quali-fied and experienced staff that follow a quality curriculum of Early Learning Guidelines preparing students for school readiness. They offer after hours until 11:30 p.m. You can call them at 601-982-8156.

ate vs. unacceptable behaviors in life. Parents have been well

pleased with the learning their children display. To contact
