Offensive Playbook Assignment Due March 13th

Write an 1 – 15 page offensive playbook, OR Create a 20 + slide PowerPoint detailing your coaching beliefs in the following areas.

Offensive Philosophy o What style of offense will you use? o How will you manage the game? o At what speed will your offense play? o What naming/numbering system will you use to communicate your offense?

Running Game o Each play/concept should be at least one page, describing offensive line rules and

coaching points o At least 4 offensive run plays!

Play Action Pass – At least ONE play action pass

Passing Game o Each play/concept should be at least one page, describing routes and the QB’s read

progression o At least 4 offensive pass plays!

Miscellaneous Offense/Trick Plays o Add at least two plays in your playbook from the following areas:

Screens

Draws

Reverses

Trick plays

2 Minute Drill Situations

Two Point Plays This assignment can be presented in a traditional styled paper, or in a powerpoint presentation. Each assignment should address each of the areas listed, and each of you should include your own style or personal additions to the assignment. Remember, this offense is YOURS. You won’t be critiqued or graded on the philosophical choices that you make, only on the effort and completeness of your work. You may determine your own team. Choose an existing team, with its logo and colors…or create your own.
